Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

DH career change
For the longest time, DH was expected to take over the family business. His Dad is now partially retired, leaving DH as the only employee. They sat down and talked about him taking over ownership, but MIL told him that she didn't expect him to do this for the rest of his life, that he could do better.
So, he has his name on the short list to get into operator training at the power plant. If he gets it, it would be huge for us. Not only would his income triple, he would get set hours, paid time off (doesn't get that now), insurance options. We also eventually may have the option of a plant transfer which means we would get the opportunity to move all over the US. Him doing this might also give me the chance to start my own business from home, which would be a ways off, but awesome.
This would be so great for our little family. I really hope this works out! Fingers crossed!

If he gets accepted into the program, it would be within 6 months. If he doesn't, he'll stay on the list for up to 2 years. It could end up being a long process, if it works out at all.
