Anyone ever had to grieve someone?
Because it's looking like I'm going to have to do it to someone at work.

Yes, sorry, I meant as in to write up a grievance!
I've had enough with harassment and emotional abuse from a coworker, and I think I'm going to have to go through the process. I'm looking for anyone on the other side who can tell me if it actually makes a difference.

I asked him and he said "I hope her union is better than mine." I'm afraid that he didn't get much satisfaction from the process, but he didn't get any backlash either.
He definitely felt like the issue is with his particular union and the union reps, not the process. He said that when you file a grievance, you are supposed to get a copy back with notes on what was done to address it, and he never got that. He also said that his grievance was not such that is was worth continuing to fight about it, whereas it sounds like yours is.
I hope that helps some. From what he told me, it seems like the outcome is highly dependent on the make up of your union.
