I've started thinking about this over the past year or so. Especially, since S and I are almost 40 (yikes!).
Do you have a will?
If so, at what age did you draw it up?

Do you have someone in mind to fill the role as executor? Not really. My sister, I guess.

Do you have a will? No, but I would like to address it this year and have something in writing, even if it is a draft.

Do you have someone in mind to fill the role as executor? Right now, probably S's brother. In another 10-15 years, I may want to change it to one of my nieces since she'll be much more mature (and an adult).
Have you ever been executor in a will? I am for my parents. I'm torn about it. Part of me is dreading it (I know my brother is going to make things messy and difficult, which is sad), and the other part of me wants to make sure their wishes are carried out. The good thing is my parents have been very specific about what they want and who gets what, so it "should" be relatively easy.

Do you have someone in mind to fill the role as executor? when I have a will written up. No idea. My brothers are morons, both my parents are deceased. It may have to be some of DH responsible siblings and some close friend.

Have you ever been executor in a will? - I'm the executor of my parents will (even though I'm the youngest child) and I *think* I may be of my sister's as well if both her and her hubby would pass ETA: I'm dreading it as well, I didn't volunteer for either one of them.

Have you ever been executor in a will? I am for my mom and step-father. I don't mind because no matter what anyone says, I will do the things they have outlined to the best of may ability. No one's input will matter to me but theirs. That being said, they have everything outlined.
My older sister is their healthy proxy person.

My aunt was the executor of my grandfather's will and it was really hard on her emotionally- she had to deal with selling his home, with some grandchildren getting nothing while others got thousands (this sounds bad but isn't- my mom passed away so my grandfather left her inheritance to us her children while my aunt is still living so she gets to decide if she will give any of her portion to her children), had to go through all his possessions and give them to the ppl named in the will- she ended up in the hospital over all the stress.

Same here- my father specifically chose me knowing that I'd be more level headed when dealing with such things than anyone else in the family.

If so, at what age did you draw it up? we are waiting until we adopt and then wuill make one so we don't have to do it twice

If so, at what age did you draw it up? ...I don't really have much as of now so I haven't, but when I have assets and such I'll get around to it.
Do you have someone in mind to fill the role as executor? Probably my brother, or my best friend. I'm close to both of them, and know I can trust them to take care of things.
Have you ever been executor in a will? When my dad got really sick, he had a will made and put me as the executor. We've talked about it, and I know what he wants and plan on doing it... but it scares me that I'll be responsible for so much, at the same time I'm grieving.
