Stolen Poll: What movies make you cry?
The Notebook and P.S. I Love You made me full-on ugly cry. I won't ever watch either one again.
Steel Magnolias and Beaches are classics that I'll watch over and over, even though they make me cry every time. And both of the Harry Potter 7 movies made me cry. I was a *mess* during the last 30 minutes of the final movie. I think DH was actually concerned about me.
Movies I won't see because I know they'll tear me up include Pearl Harbor and Marley & Me. Oh, and Mella told me not to see a movie called Trapped - done and done. Won't ever watch it.

Re: Stolen Poll: What movies make you cry?
Dani, you named my big two...Steel Magnolias and Beaches (did we just become best friends)
I have to add Big Fish and Dumbo
I won't watch Marley and Me. When that movie came out my yellow lab (who was 13 at the time) was nearing the end and even the previews sent me over the edge. Everyone I know has said to NEVER see that movie. Done and done.
Others....
Mr Holland's Opus
Hope Floats
Big Fish
certain Friends and HIMYM episodes...every stinkin' time
The Lion King
Trapped with Charlize Theron? That didn't make me cry if I recall (which means you can probably handle it.) I'm notorious for crying at everything.
The ones I love and will watch repeatedly despite the tears are:
Beaches, Steel Magnolias, Titanic, Hook (shutup), Gone with the Wind, Ghosts of Mississippi, Forrest Gump, Ghost, Philadelphia, and Father of the Bride. Oh and He's Just Not That Into You (again, shutup).
Movies I have watched, thought were excellent, but won't rewatch bc of how much I cry:
Schindler's List, Life is Beautiful, Saving Private Ryan, Old Yeller, Bambi
Movies I have no desire to see due to the tears:
Marley and Me
I won't watch Marley and Me again - its so cheesey, but I can't help crying at it and then I'm annoyed with it and myself.
Ditto Carrie on Terms of Endearment - OMG
Steel Magnolias
Love it. "way to go Paula!"
The ones that stand out to me are:
Titantic (cried for the last 30 minutes at least, plus another 15 mins in the lobby after it was over)
Armageddon (prolonged crying again)
The Notebook (omg, lots of crying at the end)
Steel Magnolias ("I can jog all the way to Texas and back but my daughter can't!" Every.single.time.)
StepMom
Beaches
...and plenty of others. I didn't really cry at any of the HP movies, but I did when reading the books.

YES!! Toy Story 3 - uncontrolable sobs. DH (and my parents) think I'm crazy.
The Notebook, P.S. I Love You, Titanic, Marley and Me, etc.
It's funny because my parents the same way, but I went with DH to see this in the theater, and while I was crying like a nut job I was thinking I was going to catch flack from him, but sure enough he was all teary eyed as well.
A comedy with no sad parts can make me cry these days, but here are mine and I know I'm missing at least 100:
A Walk to Remember
My Life
Father of the Bride 1 and 2. "These women are my life", KILL. ME.
Beaches
Pay It Forward
Titanic - SO many moving scenes. The mother with her babies in bed just hurts my heart.
Up
Forest Gump
Someone's getting a little brother!
okay a couple of people said Forest Gump...what part of it?
I cried at the end when he was talking to Jenny's grave. I also kind of cried where he met his son for the first time and Forrest started to get all upset because he wanted to know if he was smart or not.
DE IVF #1= 04/11 - BFP
Oh, and Sophie's Choice.
I happened upon it on TV a couple of months ago and asked FB if I should watch it. I got a resounding "yes". I hated everyone two hours later. I cried hysterically and will never watch that movie again.
Add Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan to the list of movies I won't watch because I know they'll make me cry.
The Notebook
Man In the Moon
Lifted
Lion King
My Bio Nest Cookbook My Cookbook
The first time I saw Toy Story 3 (pre-kid) I just teared up.
We just bought it on DVD. I watched is a couple weekends ago and I cried ridiculous ugly tears. When I could finally talk Tim asked me why I was crying and I said because Evie is 1/9 of the way to leaving for college.
He didn't laugh at me... He just said, "We have 8 more ninths to go." Through my sniffles, I told him, "Yeah, but next year we'll only have 5/6ths left."
Seen once, but won't rewatch:
My Girl,
Bastard out of Carolina
Won't See:
Schindler's List
Saving Private Ryan
Anything about 9/11
Movies I like even though they make me cry:
Second Hand Lions
Toy Story 3
