Poll: embarrassing thing you caught DH doing recently

I went to BJ's Wholesale yesterday after work to pick up some things & when I get home I find DH sitting with his laptop, headphones on, singing Gwen Stefani's "Holla Back Girl" with all of his heart.  He wasn't facing the door so he had NO IDEA I was right behind him.  He was sooooo embarrassed when I stood in front of him & smiled!  What embarrassing thing have you caught DH doing recently?

Re: Poll: embarrassing thing you caught DH doing recently

  • I swear, my DH doesn't get embarrassed because he is always doing something silly.  He probably would laugh about it if I told him about it, which I'm sure I will tonight, but last night he went to bed early and I was sitting in the living room, and he started talking really loudly in the same voice he might use for Sawyer about all kinds of nonsense.  He talks in his sleep like no one I've ever know, but last night was particularly funny.

  • By the way, that story of your husband is hilarious!  Especially that he was singing along wearing headphones!  Haha!

  • DH does what I would consider embarrassing things on purpose to embarrass me.  Like running around pantsless... swinging his stuff all over the place and chasing me, etc.  He is a large child.

I do love when I catch him being super affectionate with the dog (and talking in a baby voice).  He did it last night when giving Wally a bath, and I sat outside the door and listened.  I wish I'd recorded it-the baby talk was out of control!

  • Anasara, I love that.  Your husband sounds so funny!  and please tell me his has accented English because that, added with belting out Gwen Stefani, just makes it even funnier!  Too cute.

DH doesn't get embarrassed by the things that I think are embarrassing.  He's a prude, so pretty much only gets embarrassed by anything to do with the human form.  Other than that, nothing really.  I often hear him kind of laughing to himself when he's going to bed and almost nearly talking and often I'll be liek "what, are you talking to me" or "what's so funny" and he'll tell me he's just remembering a funny patient or story from that day.  Not like "oh god, did you hear me talking to myself, how embarrassing".

  • My hubs never gets embarrassed because he's such a goofy ass usually and loves making people laugh... however, the other day he was dancing to Party Rock Anthem with DD and doing some really hot Travolta style moves... he didn't know I was recording him with my phone.  Afterwards he was all freaking out--- "you better not post that to facebook!!!!"  He knows his dancing is ridiculous which is why he doesn't do it in public, but I guess it's fit for busting out within the home.  I was LOL'ing that he was so upset and embarrassed about me possibly posting it when I really had no intention.

And I love that story about your DH singing, that's great!

This is absolutely my DH!  He also lives for dancing around the house like a fool to try and make me laugh.  None of this embarasses him though.  I did bust him recently singing some ridiculous song sort of opera-style to Mads to make her laugh though & he was actually embarassed that I'd overheard him.... go figure.

  • I quote Cassidy, DH rarely does things that would embarrass himself just because we're so used to what he does do ...

Instead he embarasses me by being embarrassing.

The Indian accent makes it sooo mcuh funnier!  Is that mean?  I just wish I had caught it on camera; it was truly Youtube worthy.

  • He's a hard one to embarrass around me but he reacts similarly to Star's example if I record him or take a picture or something.

This. DH doesn't get embarrassed at all. He doesn't mind singing Fergie or Celine Dion in high pitched voices for anyone to hear, it doesn't bother him one bit. I am the one who gets embarrassed.

Yep. I am treated to a naked man dance pretty much every morning.

  • DH doesn't know any baby songs, so he makes his own up when he thinks I'm not listening.  They're pretty funny.  He also does a very dorky butt shakey dance to make LO laugh.

He would be hugely embarassed though if I told people that he sometimes wears my make-up to cover up zits.  I think he wears it more than I do.
