Anyone own a Highlander? Or rec your midsize SUV.
A friend is looking at them and wants some feedback. She asked me to ask around. I said I'd ask my Internet friends...lol! She has two kids so she's not interested in anything too small and needs 4WD because she has family in New Mexico. Anything you love?

I personally own a Murano (that I LOVE) but I also drove, for a few weeks, a Ford Explorer.
Ford Explorer: I don't know if that is midsize or not but I thought it was a pretty great ride. It is made for the highway (as we traveled to a few states in it) and still received pretty decent gas mileage. I loved how easy it was to drive and the comforts of the vehicle.
Doesnt Hyundai have an amazing warranty, too? Like 10/100k?
Yes. At 89k my car is still under warranty. I've only had a couple of warranty issues, but hyundai has been easy to work with on those. I always get a loaner car if needed, the warranty includes roadside assistance, etc.
We just bought H a Toyota Rav4 a few weeks ago, and I think it has 4WD. So far, he loves it. It's by no means tiny, but it's not a huge SUV either so it gets good gas mileage.
Before that, H had a Honda CRV that he drove for almost 9 years. He also liked the newer CRV he test drove, but didn't think it looked as nice or handled as well as the Rav4.
I just bought an Acadia almost 2 months ago and I love it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an SUV.

I drove an equinox before getting a truck. I looooved it! I especially love the new ones and they are great on gas mileage.
