baby swim lessons near main line?

Any recommendations for indoor baby/toddler swim lessons (near Ardmore or in the vicinity)?

I've called the Ardmore Y and left messages but no one ever gets back to me. I guess I could just go in person. Some reviews online said the pool is gross, though. Looking for some other options!

  • Roxborough's y has swim not sure how far that is for you.
  • I took Tommy tothe Plymouth Meeting Community Center.  I know that's a twenty minute ride on the blue route for you but if you can't find anything closer, I really liked it there.  It was clean and the classes were not expensive.  I think 60 dollars for out of township rate?

  • the y should have a class catalog online.  not easy to navigate but if you print the aquatics program page it might have the ones you are interested in listed.  that is what i had to do to figure it out.

not really sure of anywhere else that might have them.  maybe check the township websites or community centers.

  • not exactly main line, but west chester university supposedly has a fabulous swim program for the little ones.  i know lots of kiddies that took lessons there and their parents were really happy with it.  My nieces re-enroll every year and move up a class to improve their skills.

  • I also want to do this.  I heard good things about Riverside Aquatic in Bala a few years back.  There is also a JCC in Wynnewood that may have classes too.  I will let you know if I find any other ones.

I heard great things about this as well and considered it for DS.  The only problem is, you have to take him every day for 2 weeks straight.  If you aren't at home I don't know how you would manage this, unless you have a nanny.

I didn't want to do it because driving back and forth to WC everyday for an hour swim lesson (also parents aren't allowed to be there while it's going on, too distracting for the kids) would have been a big inconvenience
