How soon can I start traveling with a child?
Hi All,
My husband and I love to travel and very soon want to start adding to our family! We would love to keep up with our traveling regimen after we have our child and want to take them with us but what is the appropriate age to start traveling with them? On airplanes, long road trips, train trips, etc? I think exposure is important and we would love for our children to have that exposure at an early age. Of course without jeopardizing their help or development. Thanks in advance!

Re: How soon can I start traveling with a child?
Read through the posts from yesterday linked above.
All four of my kids started traveling between 6 and 8 weeks of age. I cleared all travel that early with their doctor first. They are great little travelers. We are to a point where I can take all four of them on road trips or plane trips on my own. They range from 4-13.
We went to The Smoky Mountains and rented a cabin and flew when our son was 6 months old and he did great on the plane going there but on the way back he was sick with a cold so he had a bad time.
