This post is pregnancy related.
Today I've heard, "I wish Buttons wasn't pregnant." Uncomfortably long pause. "I wish she could be on my wallyball team." "You're pregnant? You don't look pregnant." And apprently some other unknowing stranger thought I looked pregnant enough that he put his back to the wall in the staircase so I could fit through.
I just need one day where people don't say anything about it.
Twin boys due 7/25/12

Ugh. Unnecessary commentary; gotta love it.
Hope everyone gets over themselves soon for your sanity's sake.

This is why I am so grateful for my non-childbearing friends. I know that I can safely go out to lunch with them and once they finish asking me how I feel I can safely assume that the rest of the conversation will revert to animals, how much our husbands work, school and the weather.

I changed my name
I'm sorry.
I will say at least you are legit pregnant. At my Dad's funeral I had literally 4 people come up to me and say "Ohh you must be his pregnant daughter." At which point I barked back-- "No that would be my sister who is standing right next to me 5 months pregnant but thanks."
I hope you'll be able to surround yourself with people who wont forget you have other things going for you besides carrying twins.
Exactly this, it seemed the farther a long I got in pregnancy the more people had diarrhea of the mouth, the stuff people say to pregnant ladies is just amazing some times, also some also think it's okay to invade your space and rub on your belly it happened twice one with a co-worker and once with a total stranger. Both times things ended very badly for them.
My dog Sasha was on me like white on rice from second trimester on, to the point where I almost tripped over her a few times because she would lay right under me if I was sitting on the couch and I would step on her when I got up from the sofa.
It is freaky! My cats would sleep on my belly or right next to me. I just wanted space!
I made plans this weekend with someone who's seven months pregnant and much shorter than I am, so hopefully people will be too occupied by her belly to comment on mine. Strategery.
Thanks, everybody. I'm looking forward to lots of quiet time (and space!) this weekend.
