Since my H and I will be renovating a bathroom soon....
What room would you most like to update/renovate in your home? What would you like to do to change it?
Bonus for PIP of your inspiration room
Re: Thursday QOTD
I am currently in the beginning stages of redoing our laundry room! It's on the second level (with our bedrooms) which is really convenient but the room is plain and boring. And with our recent decision to spend at least another 5 years in our current home I decided to make it more homey! Plus Pinterest has really inspired me to perk it up!
A bad picture of our current laundry room:
Inspiration:
DH is planning on building me one of these drying racks (pictured is one from Ballard Designs) to free up floor space- we have a floor standing rack now.
Love the cabinets and shelf in this. I got a free cabinet from a client we work with and am currently in the process of priming/painting it white. Going to hang it in the corner of the laundry room and then do 1-2 shelves next to it in the opposite corner.
I'll play! We are in the process of designing an addition to our house. I am so excited to design the kitchen and a fireplace! I haven't really started looking at finishes yet. I really need to get on Pinterest to get some ideas! We are going for a beachy theme for the house! Light, open/airy feel!
I do know the center island is going to look a little like a piano!
Love the laundry room idea!
We just finished our bathroom. Well, we still need to do trim, paint one small wall and put up a new door, but it's done and pretty and functional!
The next project is turning the guest/junk collection room into a nursery.

We need to renovate both of our bathrooms, but especially the main one. It's all original from 1961 and sports way too much "lovely" turquoise tile. We'd have to gut it and this is the closest inspiration I have. (sorry, can't figure out how to do a PIP or clicky link with a mac) http://pinterest.com/pin/136515432424431321/.
Tired after a long morning of hiking and swimming.
Our bathroom is PINK. The floor is original to the 50's and the walls were meant to be a close match. Everything about the bathroom is yucky except for the toilet and shower head which we replaced. The vanity and medicine cabinet are awful oak with inlayed frosted glasses panels around the mirror. BARF.
I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL WE REDO THIS BATHROOM!!!!!!!!!!
It looks very similar to this although this isn't our photo:
I'd love to do something simple and classic like this:
I want glass penny tile somewhere. Not sure where, but it's a must!
Oh my gosh, Kiz. My grandma has that same color in her bathroom and I hate to tell you but the wall tile is probably original too. At least hers is original and it's the same exact thing.
And we have the turquoise version of it in our main bathroom. The only difference is our floor tile isn't patterned - just solid turquoise but tiny tiles like that.
