Thank you for the well wishes everyone! ![]()
We are doing pretty good... I would love a little sleep (about 4 hours total since Sunday, ugh) but other than that I'm okay. Recovery has been terrible pain wise but as of about midnight last night, I think we finally found the right combination of meds to help. I am very smitten with my little ladies and all of you moms of 2+ were right... your heart just grows.
Delaney Paige is still in special care but doing better each day. She's still requiring a little O2 via the nasal cannula and is hooked up to an IV just in case but as of right now is being fed (formula and a tiny amt of expressed colustrum) via mouth! So if they can get her breathing issues controlled she should be good to go but I am doubtful that she will go home at the same time as us. ![]()
Adelyn Claire is doing great. She's nursing pretty well for a 36 weeker though sometimes she needs coaxed to get started. Her mouth is tiny so her latch is shallow but we're eorking on it.
Re: quick update :)
Sorry I wasn't done! Crazy tablet. Anyway, both girks have a touch of jaundice but as of last night it wasn't high enough to require therapy. We'll see what today brings!
Nolan has only seen Adelyn but he loves her. He wasn't sure at first but now he rubs her and gives her blanket kisses... so cute.
I guess that's us in a nutshell! Please keep praying for Delaney

Good to hear from you! Figured you were well, just busy.
Did you change your mind on Adelyn's middle name? I thought it was Kate! I do love Claire, though.
Good luck with the nursing, I hope your pain gets better, and I will keep Delaney in my thoughts!

Congratulations, again. I just realized we aren't friends on FB so I haven't seen the pics these ladies are talking about, but just from the ones I have seen - they are adorable. T&P for Delaney. I'm so happy to hear that Nolan is adapting well. He is going to be a great big brother.
