Re: POLL: Your parents, admit it, they did it

  • I chose, 'yes, walked in on the', but it's SO much worse than that! We had a lot of company over so I had to sleep on the couch in their bedroom. Well apparently in the middle of the night, they thought I was asleep (I wasn't) and decided to get it on while I was in the room. Thank goodness the lights were out, but that is NOT something I want to re-live, or really even think about.

I heard them talking about something, my Dad say, "I can be quiet", and my Mom got up to put her diaphragm in.

I SHOULD NOT KNOW THIS!!!!!!!!!!!! Ick!

  • SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! How old were you?  You should have said "i'm awake". That would have been a mood killer right there!

  • I walked in on my mom and stepdad once.  I heard them more often than once (my bedroom was above their bedroom).

I never walked in on my mom and dad because I couldn't even walk when they were together.

And I am pretty sure I heard my in laws when we were living with them.  Dh tried to say, "no that was XYZ (anything BUT them doing it)."  LOL.

It was high school, I was probably 16.

Also, I told my brothers ex girlfriend this story one night, and she promised not to say anything. Not 10 minutes later she goes and tells the whole extended family, including my parents. Talk about AWKWARD!!  We just happened to be on vacation at this time.

  • I walked in on my parents on the eve of my 5th birthday.... my dad had just returned from hunting and it was the dead middle of the night and I woke up and got scared because my mom wasn't in her room... so I went out to the living room and they were getting it on on the couch.  Thank God it was November and they were under a blanket!  I remember my mom having an awkward conversation with me about it afterwards, probably in an attempt to make sure I wasn't scarred for life.

A few years ago, my sister and I were playing around with a reverse conception calculator to figure out when our friend got pregnant, and we reverse-calculated our own probable conception dates... yep, my sister's probable conception date was my 5th birthday.  Wham.

    Married in 2008 - DD born in 2010 - EDD 6.15.2012!
  • This poll makes me thank God my parents kept it to themselves.  Haha.  If they wanted to be alone the door was locked.

  • I was in my early 20's. It was early morning. I walked right in their room and froze. I could not move. Stepmom finally snapped me out of it and said, Well get out.

I had a similar experience to this. The only AC in my house growing up was a window unit in my mom's room, so on really hot nights, I'd sleep on the floor in there. I was about 12 and she and her boyfriend decided to get it on while they thought I was asleep on the floor. Ick!
