When did facebook become the new pinterest?
Seriously? My mom (and a ton of other people) keep posting Pinterest pictures (not as a pinterest feed, but just as statuses, wall posts, etc.) and it's clogging up my facebook. Now, my mom has taken to spamming my phone by texting me tons of links to said FB pictures.
I wonder if giving her a Pinterest invite would improve the situation or make it worse?

I haven't seen people do this (yet), but that's kind of funny about your mom. Maybe the newness of it will wear off soon, haha. Otherwise, the Pinterest invitation might work! But I haven't jumped on that bandwagon yet so I don't know much about it.
Funny story about my dad: He *accidentally* set up a Facebook account a few years ago. A relative emailed him a link for photos in a Facebook album and it made him go through the process of setting up an account. Then he was all like, "WTF is this sh!t everyone keeps sending me about pirates, Farmville, and such?" It was too confusing for him and he never wanted a FB page to begin with so he shut it down, lol. Ah, parents... so wise, yet so clueless sometimes.
That is pretty funny about your dad. My mom never got into the games, luckily. Although, she was always bad about sending those "funny" and "cute" email forwards that used to go around back in the days when AOL was still popular.
I mainly just exist on FB and hardly ever login, so that's why I was kind of shocked by all the pinterest-type pictures all over the place.
It also sucks when several people share the same picture & it just won't go away. Ugh.
