We both have February birthdays, and V-day is right in between them, so we just do cards and dinner out. He usually gets me flowers, too.

We are going to see Ave Q.
We saw it in DC celebrating our first wedding Anniversary so I bought tickets to see it here. We may also go out to dinner. We don't really exchange gifts anymore.... or at least I'm not planning on buying anything. I should probably make sure that's the plan.

We're going to dinner on Saturday, and will exchange cards on VD. He'll also probably buy me flowers.
some speaker for his car....this year, we're spending about $100 on each other cuz he wanted the speaker, and i wanted an acrylic monogram necklace and the urban decay naked2 palette
some years it's only $50, and we'll probably scale back more when we have kids...but for now, it's fun to splurge a little!
we also NEVER go out to eat for v-day because it's bananas everywhere, and i ain't waiting 2 hours for food.
My Shopping Blog
I got him (well, gave him the OK to buy) a signed card from James Doohan (actor who played Scotty in Star Trek). He's been dead for years, so when DH saw an BIN on eBay from a legit seller, he asked to buy it. He collects these signed cards and of course, that one was hard to get.
He got me Vera Wang's Truly Pink perfume. I love this scent and I wore it on our wedding day. I just have a small sample bottle and I wear it on special occasions. I commented on our cruise how I wished I had a real bottle of it, so he told me to order it.
I also got a tanzanite pendant and earrings on our anniversary while in Cozumel and that counts for Valentine's and my birthday too.
We'll go out to Ruth's Chris on Sunday (yay for discount gift cards!), but won't do anything special on Valentine's.

We exchange cards and we usually just have a really nice dinner at home- this year it's going to be bacon wrapped scallops for an appetizer and steak and lobster and some yummy dessert.
We've never gone out for dinner on the actual date before, but last year we went someplace casual (Six Feet Under) so we may do that again.
