Book exchange?

I'm participating in a book exchange with some girls on the bump. So basically, I mail you a letter with a name, you send 1 book to that child and the letter to 6 mom friends. On the letters you send, my daughter's name is in the spot to have a book sent, and your child in spot #2. In the end your child should get 36 books just for sending 1. Even if only 1/2 participate, it's still really good!

Re: Book exchange?

  • My cousin sent me one of these.  I thought about participating, but I am kind of a snob when it comes to which books I want to read to DS.  I didn't want to go pick out an awesome book for someone else's kid and then end up receiving a ton of books from the Dollar Tree or something.  I asked some friends if they wanted to participate, and they felt the same way.

ETA:  Another consideration for me was that we already have a TON of children's books.  DS has a  3 ft by 5 ft bookshelf in his room that is almost completely full.

Cooper has a lot of books too, but I wanted to do this to get some books for Chase so he can have "his" books... whatever that means. Also, I figured out of 36 books there will at least be 10-15 I like! And 1 book for 15 isn't bad. They also suggested going on amazon to order to save you a trip to the post office, which I thought was a good idea.

That's what I would have done if I had done it.  I probably would have gone ahead with it if I had been able to find anyone who was interested to send the letter on to.
