Unimportant complaint

They had to basically kill my computer and restart it as new.

When I became permanent, the computer didn't recognize that i was a "different" person, so the profile was the old one.

This was keeping me out of important appliations.

Now I have to spend got knows how long redoing everything. Settings, fonts, everything!

I feel your pain! They have had to do this to me twice now because I changed my name, and that somehow makes me a new person...and they spelled it wrong the first time they did it. Hopefully it won't be too time-consuming!

DH is forever coming home with computer complaints because their IT help department are a bunch of idiots way over in New Mexico. Anytime you have a problem, it's the same old classic "well did you try this or that" like restarting the stupid thing. No, I didn't try restarting it--that's a great idea, thanks! *rolls eyes*
There are so many updates that they do every week that it constantly screws up everybody's computers on the network and it makes it so nobody can work for a day or so. Drives him nuts.

My problem is I don't remember how I had everything or how to change what I know I want changed.

I'm forced to tweak as I go. I can't for the life of me figure out why it made TN such a small font. The rest of the pages are normal.

...damn google chrome and it not being psychic enough to know what I want! (or remember how I had it)

Thankfully he did save my bookmarks. I would have been SO screwed otherwise.
