*IMOAN*

I remember you talking before about some special process for cutting curly hair... it seemed like there was a name for this whole shebang?

My mom is in dire need of a haircut and I was hoping to find some salon near her that might be able to do this right since she usually goes to wherever is cheapest and its always just kind of blah.

    hai.

    Look with your special eyes.
  • There are two popular curly cutting methods... Ouidad and Devacut.  They both have essentially the same method, cut curly hair dry and "carve and slive" the curls so that they kind of fit into each other like puzzle pieces.

  • Awesome, thanks. I'm going to see if anyone near her can do this.

  • Have her go on naturallycurly.com.  They have a page where you can find salons that specialize in curly hair in your area.  That's how I found my beloved stylist (although she doesn't do Ouidad or Deva... I get my hair cut wet like a bad curly)
