Thorn and Rose
Sometimes at bed Willa and I share a thorn and a rose about the day. It's a good reflection of the events, and helps her focus on the positive and what she can do differently to handle thorns.

Re: Thorn and Rose
Thorn: I ruined a casserole by breaking a glass bowl in it. Note to self: buy plastic mixing bowls.
Rose #1: Boss bought me lunch on Wednesday.
Rose #2: I had a great evening with Renee yesterday. She was so much fun and we had a lot of laughs. It totally made my week.
Thorn: I was referred to an H&R block office after having issues with their site. Essentially the manager there did exactly what I could have done myself. The referral was unnecessary. And we have to wait for a paper check for our state return because direct deposit would have been an extra $30.
Rose: Along with completing our state taxes, he also did our city. So all I now have to do is mail them in!
Rose: We went to BW3 last night for dinner. I've been craving wings ever since the wing post here earlier in the week! It was fantastic!
My Profile
Thorn: I've been feeling off -- physically and mentally -- this week. Physically, I think I'm fighting a cold or something. Mentally... meh.
Rose: My coworker literally gave me a rose yesterday!
Rose: I had a really good commitee meeting on Tuesday evening. I left feeling happy and energized. (This is great because that organization's meetings usually make me feel anxious and unhappy.)
Thorn: I'm starting to wear thin b/t the go go go schedule, being bored to no end at work and hating to come in, stressed at school, worried about being employed and missing B.
Rose: I have hopefully found a career path that I wil do well in!
Rose: We are ever closer to the big move. No matter how slow the calendar seems to be moving, I know that it won't stop and sooner than later at this point, the thorn will only be a memory.
Extra rose: I'll get to be with B for 3 days!
Thorn: The whole work situation
Rose: I've proofed at least a dozen of my co workers resumes this week, and it feels really really good to help out a little.
Rose: I was kind of getting bored and running out of stuff to do here, the resume proofing has made the days fly by!
Woah... that's at least a dozen others who share the same thorn. I'm sorry.
Thorn: The dryer seems to not be doing a very good job drying. May have to get it looked at, but then I wonder if it would just be cheaper to buy a new one.
Rose: I got to see a lot of great friends this past weekend. It's always nice to catch up.
Rose: A new Biggest Loser compeitition began at work (which I run) and I get really excited for everyone participating. Although the Wellness portion of my job is volunteer (unpaid) it's what I enjoy most.
