Gift for Baby's 1st Birthday
Ok so I need ideas for a baby boy's first birthday. This will be the first time I am even seeing the baby, as they live several hours away. I wasn't even sure I was going to the party until today and the party is tomorrow evening!
She didn't give me much to go by other than clothes for spring/summer and that he likes stuff that plays music & has lights. I'm kind of thinking maybe some swim/beach toys for the summer? Or do you think everyone else will have the same idea? lol

Re: Gift for Baby's 1st Birthday
Books are always a good idea. If you are wanting clothes, I usually find good deals at Target, The Children's Place (at the Mills) or Carters (also at the Mills).
If you wanted to go the beach route, you could do a pail with a shovel and some sand castle molds maybe. Check out Target as they usually have some good stuf.
If they go swimming a lot, I think this is really cool (depending on how much you want to spend and if you can find it near you):

Otherwise I like the beach pail/toys idea.

You've gotten a ton of great ideas, so I really don't have much to add, except that if you do decide to get any clothes... get them big! It's so tough though to match sizes to seasons... by way of example, Milo is about to turn 10 months... and already wears 18 months. Yet pants are still long on him, so I don't know if he'll be in 24 mo by the summer or not. He's also 90th percentile, so that might not help at all, lol.
But yeah, summer time toys sound like a great idea!
