As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Because they are just that, dumbasses. They want their '15 minutes of fame', but they probably won't hold onto that money for too long. You don't have to come forward in the US, either, but lots of people do because they're not savvy about it.
I'm with you, I wouldn't tell a soul. Sock it away somewhere to make money on itself and only use it when necessary.
