I am so hungry.

And nauseous.

At the same time.

And hungry.

And nauseous.

And it never ends well when I eat.

And I just want to go and cry because I am so hungry and nauseous AT THE EXACT SAME TIME. IT'S SO CONFUSING.

  • :( i think picks had something that worked.. also, i saw something at pea in a pod for sickness.. but i don't know if it's for that.

  • Yup she did. They are called preggie pops (I believe?). They have suckers and drops. BRU and motherhood also has them. They do really help. If it gets bad call your OB they can get you no more barfy pills. I had to get on those. My morning sickness got worse after the first trimester. The preggie pops didn't work anymore.

  • Yes, I remember that all to well! It's a crappy feeling, find a comfort food that works for you. For me I ate a ton of peaches!!

  • Preggie Pop Drops didn't work for me, but I've heard good things about them from others. Then again I had morning sickness so bad that the only thing that helped was medication from the Dr. Even then I still felt crappy!

  • Uck, I had the same problem. It was awful.

    My best advice is sour hard candies, crackers, and sipping water. Goldfish were my favorite, but I'd start with dry toast, saltines, or my favorite, plain La Panzanella.

  • I was very lucky and didnt have the morning sickness with M but I know a few friends who had luck with ginger and also eating small snacks through out the day. While you feel sick and the last think you want to do is eat but most of my friends found that having a little snack actually helped. Good luck though! Hopefully its a short bout of it.

  • Those preggy pops were NASTY for me.  I think you need to just try every suggestion you hear until you find something that works for you.  There are so many different things that work for different people.  For me, it was Nilla Wafers.

    TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.
  • Is it nausea-because-you're-hungry, or is it just regular nausea?

    If the former, there're a LOT of things that can help (like fruit juice!) get you to a point where you're not as nauseated any more and can eat real food and make the nausea go away. I have a loooooooot of experience with that kind of nausea, and can make some good suggestions for avoiding it happening in the first place.

    If it's the latter... :-/ I can't help much. :( But I hope it gets better!!
