I have been going there, truly, since I was a teenager (when I could come to town to visit family and friends from NH, we would go there). And when I lived in Htown, I went there all the time when I was tired of american chinese with oyster sauce from a jar. The owners - Eni and Betty Foo - are S Foo's bro and SIL. I also took a class there ages ago and Betty was awesome and charming. I could never replicate a damnn thing but I tried.
Anyway, a fire happened a while ago and the interior is all redone and their son seems to be at the helm. The menu is wonderful and the food is STILL out of this world. it is true that we had a connection to the son (a friend of a friend) and so he treated us like royalty and we didn't even choose off the menu - they just kept bringing us things, like delicate pork dumplings, shrimp and scallop spring rolls, salt n pepper shrimp scallops and squid, hunan chicken (with a plethora of my favorite wood ear mushrooms at my request), pork and hot peppers, and a tofu mushroom thing which was awesome. and hong kong noodles with shittake.
So , you should go there. Also, the upstairs looks like you could set it up for a nice big party, if anyone ever needs a place for showers or what have you.
