DH and I are doing v-day on Friday since we'll both have to work
Tuesday. We're going to the Cleveland Aquarium that just opened up and
then probably to Olive Garden for dinner since we have gift cards. We
also have to go get our taxes done (yyyaaaaayyy :-/)
I'm going to
get him a cheapy bike. I have a really nice one, and we used to take
rides together through the parks, but his bike was crap, the tire didn't
hold air and both pedals broke off. So I'm gonna get him a $100 or so
one just so we can ride together.
Re: Valentine's day plans?
I'm pretty sure we are skipping V-day this year. We are mostly just waiting on Lucia to decide she's ready to be born, so it's hard to focus on anything else. We got each other presents for her birth, so it doesn't make sense to also buy presents for V-day. And my sister gets into town on Tuesday night. So for now the plan is to skip it. We normally just do dinner out, so it's not that big of a thing for us.
Hope everyone who is celebrating has a great time this year!
I have always loved Valentine's Day but DH and I don't make a huge huge fuss over it. I don't ever buy him anything but he always buys me flowers, a box of Pot of Gold, and maybe something else. And we have dinner out.
I told him that it's up to him what we do. He says it's a surprise this year so I dunno...
Do the creep.
DH & I didn't do much for Christmas this year (he found out about his job right before x-mas) - we wanted to go skiing, but we haven't had much snow in NJ.
Instead we decided to combine v-day/christmas & spend a night at a really nice resort in the mountains a little over an hour from our home. We booked a suite that has a full kitchen, living room with fireplace, huge bathtub, etc. The resort also has this thing called a biosphere pool which a bunch of pools/hottubs/slides enclosed in a glass dome so you still feel like you are outstide. We are going to make dinner/breakfast in our room to save some $ and have more alone time. I'm very excited - I will report back with photos
That sounds fabulous! Can't wait to see photos!!
