I would like to get a small gift for a co-worker and I'm looking for suggestions. She is 3 months pregnant and is currently in the hospital for dehydration (all is well). She also has a 2 year old. I wouldn't say her job is super stressful, but I know she is under a lot of pressure from our boss. In reality, this place wouldn't function without her.
So I want to give her something just to say I appreciate all the work you do, and make sure you take care of yourself.
If it were me, I'd love a gift card for a pedicure or something, but she doesn't like that sort of thing. I also don't really have a lot of money to spend. The other thought is maybe I'm being silly, and it's wierd to get her a gift at all, so please let me know if you think that's the case too!
TIA

If you don't have a lot of money to spend, I would say not a gc to a restaurant (though I think that is a very fitting idea)...
What about a gift card for ice cream, would make 2 year old happy too
How about a small gift basket that you put together. Since she has dehydration you could put in a reusable water bottle, some bottles of water, some low salt type snacks. Add $10 gift card to an ice cream place or tea or coffee place. You could deliver it to her or leave it on her desk.
I think it is a nice idea. When I was pregnant and working I vomitted several times a day (finally had to get on meds - it wasn't just first trimester quesiness). Anyway, my female boss was such a jerk to me I would have loved it if someone had said "hey, here's a little something because I know working and feeling this way isn't great."
