Tell me about Scottsdale

We are going this summer to see my inlaws and are staying at Sheraton Desert Oasis and we will be taking my 15 year old SS and almost 3 year old son.

What are some kid friendly activities? How far is Sedona from Scottsdale?

Re: Tell me about Scottsdale

  • I live on the other side of Phoenix but go to Scottsdale often and stay over there often for "stayvacations". I have never stayed at the Sheraton Desert Oasis, but since it's a timeshare resort, you can get a lot of feedback from tug2.net There are a ton of Oasis owners there. Scottsdale itself isn't that child friendly (golf, shopping, Frank Llyod Wright house) but there is a neat train that runs on the corner of Scottsdale Rd and Indian Bend. Sedona is about 2 hours north and there is only one road to get up there (I-17) so plan your drive accordingly (no Friday evenings going up, no Sunday evenings coming back down.)

    Our wedding on Wilson Island!

  • I used to go visit relatives when I was younger - I loved this place: http://www.rawhide.com/

It was a wild west town.
