As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

new computer!
My old computer was from 2008. I had to replace the battery about a year ago, and then power cord was held together with duct tape. It ran ok until a few months ago, when I dropped it down the stairs.
The new one seems to run super smoothly! We had all of my old documents copied over to it, so I don't have to do any data transfer. I'm hoping this one lasts me 4 years like the last one did.

Let me add that when I say I dropped it down the stairs, I mean I fell down the stairs and the computer went with me. It was only down like 3 stairs, but both me and the computer are still suffering for it.
Oh no! At least you're OK and the computer was replaced. I thought I ruined our mac book a few moths ago. I went to sit in J's chair (and awesome '70s retro lounger). I had the computer in one hand, and my cell in the other. In front of me was a folding table with a glass of OJ. As I sit down, the chair breaks under me, I fall into the chair, knock over the table, and the mac falls screen side down on the floor, with the juice on top of it. Astonishingly it works better than ever. dammit.
