Chicago to Zurich RT $195

I found this on Trip Adviser today if you go from Feb 21 till 28.

Quite the deal if you have free time at the end of the month. It goes through Madrid on the way there and London on the way back. Uses British Airways and Iberia. If your looking for a short notice trip it might not hurt to mess around on the different websites today and see if there are other deals.

  • FYI - If you delve deeper into the company offering this rate, CheapOair, you'll find quite a bit of bad press...including details of their "bait and switch" after ticket purchase.  For ex:

  • You're freaking me out now, we just booked a trp to Greece through CheapOair a few weeks ago. We received our confirmation and we haven't had any other emails From them about not being able to honor the price/flight. I just called British Airways and they have us confirmed on our flights, so hopefully that has us covered?

I mean, I don't have any personal experience with them.  It seems like some travelers never have any problems.  At the same time, the BBB complaints (even from this week) show some clear trends.  If BA has confirmed your flights, I would also imagine you'd be fine.

I've booked with them in the past with zero problems. If you've gotten written confirmation you're fine. The problem people are complaining about can happen with all third party sites because they don't show live prices and they'd tell you about it instead of sending confirmation.
  • You have no idea how relieved you just made me, thank you. I googled them earlier and read similar complaints online, and a few that will probably make me worry a teenie bit until we're sitting on the plane. (One lady booked with them, received her confirmation, and then 2 months later was contacted that the flight had changed... Don't remember specifics, but basically she had to pay for a far more expensive flight.)

I can't really do anything at this point, so I'm going to read your post every day and hold on tightly to my half full glass of water, youknowwhatimean Vern?
