Newbie

I?m new to BNOTB, so here is my introduction:

I?m a book worm, nerd loving, romantic. I love to travel, I?m sarcastic, and I?m a proud user of the Nuva Ring. I?m here because babies are not going to happen for a long time. I?m in college and am in the process of buying my first home with my husband.

My DH is a soccer playing, computer nerd. Together DH and I own an adopted black cat with emerald eyes. After we move into a house we plan to add a Siberian Husky to our family. I can?t wait to get to know everyone.

Re: Newbie

  • Hello from a fellow book worm! I'm new around here as well.

Congrats on buying a home! Also, I adore Huskies. Any big dogs, really. Huskies are beautiful dogs. :)

  • Hello! I am not really new to the site but I am new to BNOTB. I love to read but don't as much as I'd like (my new Kindle should solve that lol) because working hotel hours have my schedule crazy. Though we have talked about it, we just aren't 'in the right place' to have a baby. I have taken on the responsiblity of raising my little brother (16) so until he has graduated as is out of the nest I am focusing on getting back to school and DH finding a career instead of just a job. We are rescue parents of a beautiful Harlequin Pitbull and saving are towards a house big enough to share with him!

  • Welcome!

I have a 1 1/2 year old husky, and he is the best dog either DH or I have ever had!

That said... he didn't come that way, we had him in obedience training at 14 weeks old so he was never allowed to get out of hand (as huskies often do). They are an intelligent and very active breed, and need mental and physical stimulation daily or they will get insanely destructive (as with any dog breed). Huskies are very athletic and can easily get out of yards, so you'll need a 6 foot fence if you're going to leave them alone out there (which I don't recommend). And, of course, don't forget the year-round shedding.

If you have any other questions, I'm always willing to talk dogs!

We have a 3 year old Husky/German Shepherd rescue mix.  Everything Missus said is dead on! I am also happy to talk puppies anytime. :)

What kind of Kindle do you have? We were thinking about getting the Kindle Fire.
