Are we all having sleepy starts to our Mondays? I'm in that camp. How was the weekend for everyone?
QOTD: Outside of your current country, where is the last place you visited? Why did you go and what did you think?
Re: Good morning?
I had a very productive Monday following a relaxing weekend.
QOTD: That would be South Africa. We went to visit some friends over Christmas and New Years. I liked it a lot and can't wait to go back.
Good morning! I had a wonderful Saturday--went to the Cotswolds with a friend. It was such a relief to get out of the city for a day. The rest of the weekend was pretty mediocre.
QOTD: I was in Vienna (for work) and Budapest (as a fun weekend after the work trip) in January. Both were enjoyable, but I'd be more likely to visit Budapest again than Vienna.
Good morning!
I was having a slow, groggy Monday morning. I was suffering from the combined effects of wedding reception hangover and allergy attack, so I took some Execdrin PM and slept it off until 11:00, when I was rudely awakened by a fundraising phone call, with the caller demanding to speak to "Mom or Dad." I was very close to giving her my parents' number in New Orleans. The weekend was good -- the wedding was huge 350+ people and a 5-course meal, but no cake. I was very disappointed about that. Everyone knows you go to wedding receptions for cake!
QOTD: I'm not going to count the whirlwind family visits on the trip to here. So I will say Canada. It was an East Coast/Canada Cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Montreal, with stops in Charleston, Boston, Newport, Bar Harbour, Halifax, Sydney, Charlottetown, Gaspe, Saguenay, and Quebec City. That was in May 2010 and I am sooooooo ready for another cruise.
Morning!
We had a fun weekend! Brought M to a circus in Nice on Saturday - he loved it and was so well behaved. We were surrounded by brats and I was shocked by how some of these little kids were talking to their parents!
Yesterday we went to the market and then to the park.
QOTD: Barcelona between Christmas and New Year's Eve. We went for fun, I really liked it, but think I would have enjoyed it more without the kid so we could have really late dinners and bar hop! My favourite thing was the zoo! It was really nice and the animals were very active.
Morning! we slept late (nanny is on vacay), had breakfast, got dressed and went out and played in the snow, took a ride around the hood on the sled, and have now been napping for about an hour. The kid that is, not me. I just finished my translation. Still need to look through it and make a few changes, but I?m DONE!!! Yay.
QOTD: The last trip we went on was in the summer when DD and I went to the States for 6 weeks. We did a lot of visiting family and friends and DD visited a pretty respectable number of states.
I am having a slow start today, I couldn't get to sleep last night, which really surprised me as I did yoga and biked 13k!
This should actually be a good week, this week. I have some really intersting meetings.
QOTD: Aside from visiting the US, DH and I went to Munich for the Christmas Markets and that was fantastic! We really enjoyed it. A wonderful long weekend trip.
Ha! I wish you would have done. People are so rude/presumptuous sometimes.
Morning! Spent the weekend packing and un-packing for Australia as I had pretty much thrown my whole entire wardrobe in the case...
QOTD: We went to Rome in October for a mini trip. Absolutely loved it: the weather, the sights, the food, all brilliant!
Good morning! We had semi-productive weekend, working on getting the house in a slightly more liveable state, so I'm feeling good today! We're supposed to get a big snowstorm, and I'm excited for it, since I don't have to go out in it, I can just sit back and enjoy!
QOTD: Since going home doesn't count, we went to Hong Kong in April. I loved it!! I would love living there for a year, just to really experience everything!
Good morning. I was up early this morning, but still had a slow start, and then the mess on the Jubilee line (again) put me behind. But it's pretty quiet in the office anyways, with a lot of people, including my manager, out for half-term. I'm looking forward to catching up with a friend at lunch.
My weekend was pretty good! Other than the good news, I got in a couple of workouts, had a massage and made a big batch of meatballs yesterday.
QOTD: We just got back from a week in the Maldives last weekend. We went to have a pure indulgent relaxing vacation and it definitely delivered.
Cecilia arrived 12 October 2012
Good morning. I got a BFN on Friday so have spent the weekend indulging in lots of wine. It's all about the silver linings! Am struggling a bit to focus on work today so am playing around online planning my next couple holidays.
QODT: I went to Brussels in December and India in October. I enjoyed Brussels a lot (we went to meet my SIL and her fiance for a weekend). It's a cute city and we had some really yummy food and beer. Not sure I'm super eager to go back but that's just because we don't typically go back places - we're always looking for the next place!
India was... amazing. Overwhelming and scary and incredible and beautiful and ugly and just... surreal. Now that I've had some time to fully think about it, I would definitely go back. We went as an attachment to a work trip for DH so we aren't planning a return trip unless he gets sent again but I'd definitely go with him if there's the opportunity.
BFP Apr 2012, EDD Dec 19 2012 * twin h/b at 6wk, 9wk scan * Baby A lost at 12wks, Baby B was my rainbow born at 36wks
Sorry to hear about the BFN. *hugs*
Morning! Trying to recover from ds's 4th birthday party this weekend, 23 kids in our house and their parents and I am exhausted. We go to florida tomorrow for a week so hopefully that will be a nice break, going with my parents but dh isn't coming so it won't be as relaxing as I would like!
We were in England, Scotland and Belgium over Christmas.
Ha. Another strike against the "French parents are amazing" theory.
Saturday I ran around most of the morning trying to get DH's birthday presents, and Sunday we spent a good portion of the day at a church service / reception thing for his work. Not so relaxing, not so much fun. :-/
QOTD: How depressing. The last trip we took for fun outside of the country (not counting going to a cousin's wedding in Austria or going home to the US to visit) was in Aug/Sept 2009 when we went to Spain for 2.5 weeks. I am so overdue for another good vacation.
Afternoon, mornings are just a rush at the moment, we always end up having to go somewhere so it's eat breakfast, dress baby run out of house...
It's finally warming up here, it was only -1 when we went to puppy school this morning!
QOTD: Last place to visit and not go just to shop was Zurich, we used to go every year to go to the antiques fair there, I love Zurich but I think it's mostly because DH and I get to relax and hang with friends while there.
I'm exhausted from packing all weekend. I need to have furniture cleared off and boxes packed before my guy friends come over to help me move on Wednesday.
QOTD: I was in the UK for a weekend to see the cute dimpled Brazilian. London makes me uncomfortable because people are too dressed up, and I've gotten used to the relaxed easy-going nature of Norway.
Hello. My weekend was good. Girl's night on Friday and a friend's housewarming on Saturday.
QOTD: The last place we went was Edinburgh for New Years. Had a good time, we've been there before just not for hogmanay. I love Edinburgh.
Good...afternoon. DH and I had a "Valentine's Day" Dinner with friends last night at our place, it got a bit wild (too much wine and fondue, check out my facebook pictures of it). I woke up at 3 am, couldn't sleep because of a bad hangover and I cleaned the kitchen/dining room. I slept again until 830sh and then went to the gym.
We have no plans for tonight, besides sleep!
QOTD: I went to the US last month, but besides that DH and I went to Venice for Christmas, it was a really great trip. We walked around the city, ate delicious food, drank delicious wine,...it was very relaxing.
Afternoon... oops! Been giving a training course all day so far but now finished... Gotta rush and collect N from the minders. Well, get bus home, get bike and then get N!
QOTD: Last time I was out of the country was August 2010 for a week's holiday. I was 11 wks pregnant at the time. But we'd been to London and Poland earlier that year for weddings... Last summer we took a holiday in the south of the country and just drove... Next year maybe Wales!! Ha!
Nearly half of my mail sent to me by my Uni has to the Parent's of Allibally. I never put my parent's names anywhere when I registered and I said I was married on the form.

Now Nesting from Chicago, IL My nail blog:
Good evening to all! I'm exhausted (and pretty tipsy after drinking some of the leftover lambrusco which would've gone bad had I not drank it). Poor DH was up sick last night and had me worried - not to mention when he turned the shower on at 3 am it scared the living daylights out of me. Here's hoping tonight is better and tomorrow the government finally decides to pay me - come on, Spain!
QOTD: Las Vegas, Yosemite, and San Francisco for our honeymoon. Even though it was criticized on Travel for being way too ambitious, we had a lot of fun. I wish we spent less time in Vegas and more time in San Francisco though!
