When we went to the market together last he insisted that we buy a pork roast and have some friends over for dinner. Said dinner fell through and H decided he didn't want a roast of any sort because it's too hot outside. The meat's been in the fridge a few days now and I don't want to freeze it at this point because it's no longer super fresh.
Now he's in Singapore and I have a pork roast in the oven for myself. That's right, 1.5 kilos of meat and I'm the only one here.
Re: I blame H for this
I second this!
I also have two kilos of apples that are going to go bad if I don't turn them into applesauce, so there will be more than enough food.
I've got plenty of booze should anyone want to stop by.
Publius, before you start to dread the sight of another piece of meat, I'd say freeze it after you've cooked it. You could even do pulled pork with bbq sauce or something like that. Just some other way to prepare/postpone eating.
Ditto for the apples. Make the applesauce or apple filling and freeze it for another day.
H gets home tomorrow night. He'll be eating roast pork sandwiches for a while
Excellent. I love when you don't even have to nag or complain. You can just slam the plate down in front of him. Muhahahaha!
