Re: How was your weekend?
Highs? DD and I met two of my girlfriends at Annapolis Mall and had a blast. I hadn't seen them in quite awhile, Mia's never really spent time with them, and they eagerly took her shopping and we all had a great time. Then DD and I went to my Mom's for the day and hung out with the family, which always makes my heart happy.
Lows? Friday was Kids' Night Out at DD's school, and though I hadn't signed her up and wasn't planning for her to go, she was so eager to do it that I ended up letting her stay. DH and I spent the time on the couches - him with the iPad, me with my iPhone - and then went to Taco Bell. Poor use of kid-free time!
Watch anything good? I enjoyed parts of The Grammys last night, but that's about all I watched this weekend.
Read anything good? Nope
Make/eat anything good? Saturday night we sent my nephews to Baja Fresh and ended up with a smorgasboard of tasty stuff.
What are you looking forward to this week? DD's reaction to a special Valentine's Day with her Daddy.
Vents, FFCs, comments, AWs, etc? On Friday morning DH told me that he would clean the bathrooms for me that evening since I've been so sick and spending a lot of time up close and personal with our toilets. Then he didn't do it. Last night I asked him to please take care of our bathroom, at least, and while he wasn't huffy with me, he was definitely not wanting to do it. A: You offered; B: I keep having to stick my head in it - give a girl a hand. He finally did it, but didn't clean the shower/tub or the floors. I don't want to sound ungrateful, but I'm annoyed that he halfassed it.

Highs? Went to RA Sushi with a friend on Saturday night. It was packed, but we had a great time. Then we went over to Landmark and watched The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (finally!)
Lows? It was so cold and windy Sunday morning that I skipped my long run.
My leg had been hurting and I was already not looking forward to the run that once the weather came in I was like, "nope, not happening."
Watch anything good? The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo!
Read anything good?Nope.
Make/eat anything good? So much sushi at RA. I love the pacific roll. Mmmm avocado and mango salsa.
What are you looking forward to this week?Nothing too exciting.
Vents, FFCs, comments, AWs, etc? Little frustrated with DH. We have so many house projects going on and things are in various states of being done. I wanted to paint our bedroom this weekend and that didn't happened. Around 5pm on Sunday he's like, "well I'm done for the day." What? There were still hours that we couldn't have done more around the house!
Highs? Sleep? We had a nice impromtu lunch w/ another family and the kids all behaved and the grown ups got to talk - WIN WIN!
Lows? Cold as a mother!
Watch anything good? Watched Moneyball Friday night!
Read anything good? Working on "Age of Innocence" still
Make/eat anything good? not really
What are you looking forward to this week? Date night next Saturday!
Vents, FFCs, comments, AWs, etc? My friend emailed about going to Madonna in September and we got tickets today!!! I've seen her 2x before and the last time I thought - it too much money and effort to see her, etc. but at the Superbowl, I was just blown away by her - so I was totally happy to go see her! I wish tickets weren't sooo bad - 110 for nosebleed, the next price was 200, which I just couldnt' see doing. but whatevs. ... MADONNA!!!
Ditto PP on the husband frustration - DH worked his ass off on our kitchen reno and I know he needs a break, but there are still a few little things that need to get done. .. like hanging new doors, finishing the bulletain board, etc. But, now he's gotten himself all distracted and he spent all weekend working on a new crab trap invention that he's come up with - so Lord only knows when he'll get back to the kitchen stuff.
