So last night our kitchen faucet broke, DH wants to call his dad since he thinks it can be fixed, but I doubt it since I believe something in the knob you turn on broke (which has been leaky for a good while).
So now we have to get a new one. And what makes this horrible is our kitchen sink is cast iron (which is rusting), so probably have to find something that works with the current holes in it? But what I want we will have an extra hole since I want to get rid of the spray thing and just have an all in one faucet with the spray thing coming out of the faucet.
Just why could this not have happened on Friday or Saturday. We have dishes to do, no sink.
And of course we have not fixed something like that and DH isn't really handy since his dad did a horrible time raising him and never showed him how to do anything handy.

Yes, if you want to keep your sink, you need to pick out a new faucet that will fit with those existing holes.
We are getting rid of the separate sprayer on our sink, too. What you can replace it with is a soap dispenser! We had one in our condo and it was great, so we are doing the same with our current house. This is the one that we picked out: http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-202496519/h_d2/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10053&langId=-1&keyword=delta%20leland&storeId=10051

Thanks. The worst is there is already a hole for a soap despenser. And our town rated in the top 5 of the country for best tasting drinking water, so we don't use a filter... I want to jerryrig something up to just plug it with caulk... will look lovely.
And what we hate about the whole thing, is that we were thinking to replace the countertops with corian or something and have a sink built into them with no seams...
But I just thought, how about 2 soap dispensers, one for hand soap the other for dish soap.....hahahaha

Yes, we have what is called a "4-hole" set up, so we had to get that one (linked above) that has the base. The faucet and base cover up/utilize three of the holes, then we have one that is further off to the side with the sprayer (soon to be soap dispenser).
It's hard to picture what you're dealing with. Got a pic?

Yep it is a 4 hole, so that would work. I am just picturing it wrong, but I think it could work...
Now FIL thinks he can fix it since it is a screw that came detached, but that doesn't fix that the sprayer broke 2 months ago...so anyways 2 things wrong with it means time for a new faucet..since what else will break with it... But I just want to replace that sink since I always get wet from it and the rust on it is just gross.
ETA: Thank you girls, I know nothing about this and neither does DH so you really helped me figure out what to get and do... Now to win the lottery to be able to fix everything that needs to be fixed.
