Happy Monday!

Yaaaaaay Monday!  Ha.  I fell back asleep after I turned my alarm off this morning.  Thankfully I work up half an hour later and was able to throw myself together in time.  That could have been bad.

Last night Derek and I went to ringy's place for dinner, and it was awesome.  Sadly kaesha and mr. kaesha are both sick, so they stayed home.  It was great to hang out with ringy and V and super fun to play with little Mr. D, even if he was a little crotchety from teething.  Sherlock enjoyed some lap time too.

Today will be working at the house.  Derek got a LOT done on the weekend, and hopes to finish installing drywall tonight so he can get to mudding.  My goal it so assemble the exercise bike and take it for a spin!

How was everyone's weekend?

Re: Happy Monday!

  • Happy Monday ladies.  Needless to say, I had a good weekend :-)  Although we didn't really get a whole lot done, I did do a couple of workouts, and made a big batch of meatballs yesterday.  And we had a celebratory massage on Saturday night.

I'm heading in this evening to have betas drawn.  And then DH and I are heading out to dinner.  7 years ago today, we had our first date, and it's just become tradition to go out for dinner tonight instead of Valentine's Day.

  • Sounds like a fun GTG! Too bad about Kaesha and the mister, though.

Good morning! I saw someone dressed as the Grim Reaper today. Hmm. What kind of day will it be, I wonder?

This weekend was very low key and lazy. I managed to get to the gym on Friday, but didn't do my long run over the weekend. Oh well, back on the saddle this week. Josh and I had a fun pizza and beer night on Friday, then spent the weekend catching up on chores, shopping, writing, etc. I also put in my first application for this new round of job hunting (yay!) and started reading the new book I have to review.

Tonight's laundry night, so nothing too exciting going on at home.

Hope everyone has a great day!

  • The weekend was good Dh worked on a side job on Saturday so me and the boys loaded the truck up and took a load of stuff to goodwill. We are starting to get things cleaned out to get ready to pack and move. We watched breakind dawn Saturday night it was really good.

Yesterday we went and got Jordan's bday present and a few groceries.

Tonight I am going to get a good workout in and then soak in the tub. I am really sore from my 30 day shred so I am looking forward to soaking in a warm bath tonight.

  • Morning ladies.

My weekend was ok. Brought the boys to the docs again Saturday. One ear infection and one with a viral cold. Thankfully after 3 days, his temp broke this morning. I thought I would be bringing him back to the doc's again today. We seriously should get our own parking spot there with how many times we have been going lately.

Anyhow, I am still sick, blah blah blah. However I managed to get some house cleaing done, and a few naps in.  That was about the extent of my weekend.

Tonight, I need to stop at the grocery store to get something yummy for the boys Valentine's party at Daycare, and finish their valentine cards.

    Have a great day everyone.

  • Morning all.  This weekend was really good and very productive.  Friday was a lazy evening.  Saturday, B and I took Casey to his final post-surgery check up.  He got a clean bill of health and is now permitted to go up stairs and walk as far as he wants.  Going to the vet is kinda fun for him now.  All the vet techs get so excited to see him and come visit while we wait for the doctor.

After the vet, I went to a maternity store that was having a sale on jeans.  I ended up buying a pair of jeans and 3 dresses.  The dresses will be great for my upcoming vacation and work once it warms up a bit.  Saturday night, I met up with some girlfriends for dinner and a movie--the Vow.  It was pretty good, not amazing, but entertaining.

Yesterday, B and I went to the auto show to check out cars.  We're both in agreement as to which car is our favorite, so now we just need to figure out how to fit it into the budget.

Today, we're going to tour a DC and then it's off to work for the rest of the day.  Hope everyone has a good day.

    Kaesha,  feel better!

Chica, good luck with the new job prospects!

  • Saturday DH went to a golf expo with his friends and I took LO to the mall with my parents. They bought him some cute "valentines" stuff but they have an excuse to buy him stuff all the time. I love it, its so sweet how they love him. Then we went to a friends house for some drinks/chatter.

Sunday we were supposed to look at living room curtains  since MIL gave us $ for them for a Christmas gift but we got a pretty nasty snow storm so we just stayed in and cleaned the house/shoveled.

And I woke up today with a nasty head cold. I really hope LO doesn't catch it.

  • This weekend was really lazy. DH and I had dinner at friends on Saturday which was quite pleasant. We were greeters at church on Sunday morning and besides that we really just sat at home. DH has a cold so he has been feeling pretty off.

Today I am tutoring a girl in math after work and then I am going to the gym. I haven't been there for over a week as I have been sick and I am feeling the need to go now.

  • Happy Monday!

Dinner with raynes & Derek last night was great! They're such a great couple, love you guys. And they left me with some amaaaazing chocolate and wine too. Nom!

LOL - check it out. As raynes mentioned, Darian is teething. So he was very interested in stuffing her necklace in his mouth.

Also, V and I booked a cruise for April! We'll be sailing in the eastern Caribbean the week after Easter. My ILs are coming, which I'm not terribly excited about, but I'll get over myself and appreciate the extra hands for handling the little guy.

ETA: kaesha, we missed you! Hope you guys feel better!

  • Good morning!  It's a short work week for me this week.  I am heading home Thursday night to visit my sister over the holiday weekend.

On Friday night, I got an email about a resume that I submitted.  They are interested but wanted to make sure I knew the salary range beforehand, since it was left off some announcements (I had already seen it).  I responded Friday night after hours, so I hope I hear back about it today and can get an interview scheduled.

Saturday, we went to WARL and adopted a kitten.  He came with the name Vicente, but we are calling him Little Bit.  He is about 1/3 the size of Rex and love bug, but they hate each other.  I will take any and all advice about introducing new cats.  I need them to tolerate each other by the end of the week.  Jim is seriously unhappy that Rex is unhappy and is talking about returning new kitten to the rescue.

Sunday, we booked the shore excursions for our cruise.  I can't believe it's 34 days away.

  • Morning. I've already had to sit though a meeting this morning. Now I'm trying to figure out how to transition my phone to our new system at work. Feels like a typical Monday to me.

Our weekend was good. We honestly didn't leave the house much at all. I got a lot of housework and laundry done though which was awesome. Today Kyle is supposed to be calling a plumber because we've been dealing with a plumbing issue. We have a toilet that we thought was clogged but it turns out that it is actually having issues when we run water in the kitchen sink. Hopefully we can get someone out soon to take a look at it.

  • I had a pretty good weekend. Thursday night was girl's night. Friday night, DH and I stayed up until the wee hours having a long overdue conversation. It was so nice to feel like we were best friends again. I think I was a little surprised at how understanding he was, even though I shouldn't have been. I knew I married him for a reason. He also suggested many more nights out with the girls, since it definitely helped.

Saturday was just general lounging with the bub, who slept pretty much all day for some reason, and then we did dinner out with our fav couple. I really was nervous about bringing Jackson to dinner around his bedtime, but we did a late nap and then brought plenty of things for him to do. He was a trooper, and thankfully enjoys watching tv as much as anyone. He also fell asleep on me for most of dinner.

Sunday was attacking the mounds of laundry that are ruining the love I have for my guest room. It's pretty much my reading haven on the weekends, and it's been covered in about 10 loads of laundry for months. It seemed like I would fold and then add twice as much back to it. I finally have most of it put away, including all my maternity things.

Today is a make your own burrito day at the school. haha. I'm stupid excited for it, in combination with my leftover food from Saturday night.

  • Good morning!

Looks and sounds like the GTG was a blast!

My weekend was really good. Friday I shopping with a friend for a birthday gift for our other friends one year old daughter, we went way over board on clothes but all the little girl outfits are so cute!

Saturday was a lazy day, I watched tv, read, and played on the computer all day. Sunday morning I cleaned the house and did some laundry, then in the evening we met up with my family for dinner and bowling to celebrate my dad's birthday.

Nothing exciting planned for today, just a typical Monday.

  • Ringy & Raynes, you both look great!

I am off today, having gone from a bad cold to worse. For some reason, it's thrown my digestive system out of whack too. I'm resoundingly not a happy camper. I had no idea how much I've been relying on drugs (sweet, happy amazing drugs) to keep me going.

  • Today is my first day back at work. I'm hoping that it goes smooth. I have school right after work though so it's going to be a long day and I won't get to see H til about 9 when she is all ready for bed. Crying

The weekend was good though. Friday I hung out with my sister which was nice, I like to be able to just spend some time with her. Satuday I had a "craft class" that lasted pretty much all day but I have some really cute Valentine decorations for the house now. Yesterday I was super productive. I went grocery shopping for the week, did all the laundy (and put it all away), made dinner, got H ready for her first day at the sitter and cleaned the entire house. I thought doing all that would help me sleep, wrong! I think it was/is just nerves for leaving H and coming back to work. GAH!

    Have a good Monday ladies!

  • Good morning, ladies.

We had a nice weekend, even though I worked most of Saturday.  Yesterday we hiked with friends, then I made flatbread, butternut squash chili, and whole wheat bread.

Unfortunately, I slept very poorly and I'm already dragging.  At least I have chili and salad to look forward to for lunch.

  • Good morning ladies. We had a really busy weekend. It was nice, but I wish I could have just had some downtime. Today will be another busy day at work. I really need to focus on two big projects but I am so unmotivated.

Anyway, I'm going to WW to weigh in. I'll either go on my lunch break or after work depending on how the day goes. Tonight we're having cheese enchiladas for dinner. They're leftovers so at least that will save some time and clean up tonight. Have a great day ladies.

  • Happy Monday ladies!  I had a great weekend, my mom is in town until tomorrow and yesterday was her birthday so we took her to a vineyard/wine tasting room in Malibu.  It was a beautiful day and we spent the afternoon trying out delicious wines and enjoying a picnic lunch we brought.  I officially want to spend every weekend there.

I'm headed up to San Francisco for a meeting on Wednesday so I'll have a busy couple of days prepping, then on Friday I'm off to Vegas to see one of my best friends who's in town for work!  It's going to be a proper girly weekend, I'm so excited :)

    Now jumping domestically.

Well that was a crazy couple of years.

  • Hello.

Today was a pretty okay day at work.  Busy enough that I wasn't bored but not enough that I was stressed.  DH and I drove together so that we could stop at the dealership and pick up the new car.  It's so exciting!  He loves having a car where the brakes work and it doesn't shake.  lol

This weekend was pretty relaxing.  I did manage to get 4.5 mile runs in both days so that was nice.  Otherwise I tried to do some cleaning

Tonight we are going to have leftovers and then head out to our friends house to watch last night's episode of The Walking Dead.  I'm very excited for that.
