So, H and I are people who are very rarely, if ever, late for things. In fact, we tend to show up early for most things. Saturday, we had tickets for a play. We left at a time we thought would give us more than adequate time to arrive there, but traffic SUCKED, and we got there late. Of course, they don't seat people after the play has started, so no play. Grr. At least the tickets weren't expensive.
Sunday, I had an appointment to take my computer to the Apple Genius Bar and have my battery replaced. H advised that we run a backup before I went. He then realized that he had to update something before the backup was run, so that took a while, and I ended up having to push back the appointment. The backup then took forever. I actually ended up being late to the second appointment I'd made, but they were running behind, so it didn't make that much difference.
Re: Weekend Follies
Bummer!!
I hate being late, too, and usually am chronically early to things because of that. Sorry you had to miss the play.
My weekend was kinda disappointing, too, as the H came home with a flu Friday night. I spent more time trying to avoid him and his coughing/sneezing butt than I did trying to cuddle with him.
