Valentine's plans?
What are you guys doing for Valentine's if anything?
MIL is babysitting and H and I are going out for dinner somewhere to be determined (I feel like having Vietnamese or Lebanese). We met 14 years ago today!

My parents are going to be visiting us, actually, so FI and I are going out to dinner with them. It will be nice to see them, especially because I've been a little homesick recently.
2012 Reading Challenge

Congrats Azure! i am curious if you and H went out on Valentine's day the night after you met?! ;-)
My H is actually working down in Portsmouth this week, so we cooked a romantic Vday meal together last night as he will be gone. A good friend of mine just emailed me though and told me she made me cupcakes and will be bringing them to me tomorrow since I am craving chocolate and ice cream now, so that's exciting (and extremely sweet of her)!
DH is in Columbia until Sunday so I'm on my own. But Alli has inspired me, I think I'll make the PB chocolate truffles recipe I've been eying on Pinterest.
Thanks! We didn't go out on Valentine's, I had friends visiting me and we went out to a club. We didn't start "dating" until a month or so later.
Hoping the country doesn't go so batshiite that the kids and I get sent home early. Tomorrow is the anniversary of the "day of rage". But pending things don't get too bad, we'll go out on the weekend. DH says he wants to take me to a Lebanese restaurant we've been eyeing.
Tomorrow won't be very romantic. We both work, still have to do the routine with the kids, and our housekeeper is actually cooking. Baked penne in tomato sauce with grilled eggplant, squash, carrot, smoked turkey sausage, and topped with a bunch of cheese.
I found heart-shaped pasta at Lidl today so I'll be making that for dinner. Other than that, nothing. Life is so slow that I got excited over 99 cent heart shaped pasta. Oh boy.
We don't have big plans. DH is working from home tomorrow, so I assume he might pick me up flowers and make a nice dinner.
We don't exchange gifts, but cards and we'll go out later in the month to celebrate. I don't like to go out on Valentine's day because I always feel like it is rushed with so many people out.

Last minute decision to go out for dinner tonight. I was just going to make bruschetta. But now we are going to a place called Tiny Lounge. Our favorite place near our apartment. They have really yummy tiny burgers on pretzel buns.

I really wish we were doing something. I have this feeling it'll be a super low key V-Day for us though.
I plan to make DH a card yet, and other than that nothing much going on here. If I cook him an amazing meal I won't be able to eat it thanks to my diet that I have to be on. If we go out for dinner it's challenging because I'm stuck with the same situation again.
