stupid fine print, glad I read it!
I get the Living Social and Groupon email deals and sometimes get some great things on there, but other times (like today) the fine print "rules" kill the deal for me.
Today there is a pizza deal that is good, but it says "Dine-in only (not valid for takeout or delivery)". Who goes OUT to sit in a restaurant to eat pizza these days? Not us! If we get pizza it is picked up or delivered. They should at least allow take-out, even if they nix the delivery option. Hmpff!
Re: stupid fine print, glad I read it!
Boo!
I purchased some restaurant certificates through Living Social (via restaurant.com) and didn't catch that the $50 certificate that I purchased for $5 had to be used on a bill that was at least $100.
So I'm glad you looked at the fine print!
I always make sure to read the fine print for that very reason!
I must confess...I am one of those people who goes out and sits in the restaurant to eat pizza. But in my defense, I live 25 miles out of town in the middle of nowhere, so if we get take-out, it's always cooled off by the time it makes its way home.
If we're just getting Pizza Hut or something we'll order it takeout, but there is a cute pizzeria here that I sit down and eat at. They have the best pizza and cheese bread I've ever eaten, and we like to have it fresh out of the oven!
