DD had her ENT appt to evaluate for laryngiomalacia-- and she has it! It's considered mild and from what the doctor thinks, has already started to resolve itself. Basically, her epiglottis is weak and curls up... it needs to strength and should be more functional as she grows. She has a prescription for a reflux med to help with her continuous vomiting spells she has and we have a f/u in 3 months.
It isn't causing her pain or bothers her at all-- but it's nice to know that all the little things that she's had since birth (congestion, snoring, noisy eating & turning blue at times during feeds plus the reflux) are tied together and there is a reason for it.
She was so good during her scope (she cried but not hysterically). I had to hold her and hug her arms down... that was not fun.
Re: DD & the ENT
She turns blue while eating? how scary!
I'm glad she got into see them! I hope the meds help the issue!
Yes! But we thought she was just eating too fast from the bottle... guess it was actually part of the diagnosis!
that is great!!
So glad it went well.
