How did you do with weekend spending?
I spent $0 fri. Sat I paid $15 for lunch, and my parents picked up the dinner bill. I spent $60 at Clinique though--but it was for basics and will last me a long time. I resisted the urge to get a mani/pedi and did it myself.
Sunday, we just spent $9 to go ice skating. I spent $15 on a vday gift for DH.

Re: SF check-in
I dont want to add it up. We splurged this weekend for the first time since we had Charlotte-
80 for hotel room plus 20 for parking overnight
probably 150 on food and drink
50 at target for baby shower gift and bags
20 dinner Friday night.
I guess not too bad but still!
We've done good so far! Even H's bday was pretty reasonable. I made cupcakes instead of ordering apps for everyone. Which worked out, because it seemed most people either ate dinner already, or wanted dinner. So people just ordered food if they wanted it and had cupcakes for dessert. We did go early and eat ourselves, which we *could* have eaten at home, but it was H's bday so I didn't mind the splurge. And so many people bought him drinks, and I was DDing so only had a few myself, our tab was only like $70 for the night. So not too shabby.
Didn't spend any money Saturday or Sunday, we were lazy and just hung out at home.
I have to run to the store tonight to finish getting stuff for dinner tomorrow, which I guess we're splurging a little on (steak and crab legs), but it will still be loads cheaper than going out. Even with getting our favorite $20 bottle of wine.
Oh I did terrible. TERRIBLE. Our tax refund hit our account on Saturday so we did some planned spending.
new vacuum - $130
Clothes for El from various places (ON, Children's Place, Target, Walmart) - ~ $100
Stuff to make a shadow box for El a'la Rach's blog - $15 (for the shadow box and a hot glue gun)
I guess that's about it. Everything else we spend was groceries or dinner out. We had our v-day dinner out last night and that was $70.
Friday- I picked up a few things from the food store $37
Saturday- we did nothing and had dinner at my parents, so it cost us nothing
Sunday- We had to get a s small gift for DH uncles b-day and some chocolate for MIL , and DH got a hair cut $100
Not as good as I would of liked, but not to bad.
I spent $15 on valentine's day cards...that's it!
Other than that it was just our usual $40 grocery budget.
Tonight we're going out to dinner with friends we haven't seen since September and it's our V-Day outing so that'll probably be around $50-$75
I hardly spent anything, mostly because I was at work. I did buy food at work (about $6 each day) and I went to the pharmacy yesterday for cough medicine, cough drops and chapstick and spent $28, but $16 of that was on the meds, so not bad.
Today I have to go buy a few things for DH and probably some nail polish (darn you, Niners!) but I don't expect to go crazy.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
Friday- Groceries: $114 (well within budget) Law, I kind of hate you for your $40/wk grocery budget, we'd both starve to death on $40- a gallon of milk is $3.99 on sale here! And bread is at least $3 a loaf, even if we buy store brand... and Chipotle $15
Saturday- Sold old couch, so +$100, then got hair cut $40 with tip, and went out to a nice dinner $68 with tip, so total spent= $8
Sunday- Spent $26 at Target on a new woven cover for our new couch and a new package of grain free dog treats.
Stand up for something you believe in.
This is only because right now we have a store of a ton of protein in our freezers; chicken, fish, ground turkey and ground beef...there's tons of it. Plus, I shop at ALDI a lot because despite the fact the produce isn't the best it's eaten quickly so it really doesn't have time to go bad and everything else i buy there is great if not better than big chain grocery stores around us. Milk there is usually around $2.69. I PPH ALDI.
