The Office 2/9 *spoilers*
I watched The Office last night for the first time in a long time (we dropped it from our DVR last season around the time that Holly came back, and only tuned back in to see Michael's last episode).
I missed the dialogue in the last scene, where the Florida team was getting on the shuttle to the airport. I heard Kathy (Pam's maternity leave replacement, I think they said?) talking on the phone to someone about how Jim's marriage isn't going well, or something like that, and she was going to make a move on him in Florida.
Has she been hitting on him since she started working there? Other than the stress of dealing with a newborn and a toddler, is their marriage really doing poorly? I was surprised that they'd go for this storyline since I can't picture Jim ever cheating on Pam ... and if they DID go this route then I could picture The Office losing a lot of its audience over this since Jim and Pam have always been the Ultimate Love Story.

Whoa...my DVR cut off right before any of this happened. I'm going to have to try to find it online or On Demand to check this out. I was wondering why they'd even keep Kathy around now that Pam is back? Wasn't she just there to fill in for Pam when she was on maternity leave?
I actually think the show made a big mistake by having Pam have another baby (I know she was pregnant in real life so they had to write it in somehow, but still). I think it really killed a lot of the cute/romantic stuff in their relationship.
In the scene in the kitchen where Kathy looks at Jim, DH said "And now Jim's going to cheat on Pam." I was like huh?! But then the line at the end made me think they might actually pursue it. I told DH if he cheats on her I'm moving to Canada.
In the episode where they have a pool party at Robert California's house, Kathy makes a couple of comments about being interested in Jim. I think she is misreading his friendliness. They haven't given any indication that Jim is interested in her at all, or that he is even aware of her crush.
At the end of this episode, I yelled at the TV, "You whore!". lol DH, who wasn't watching, thought I lost my mind.

I agree. However, the only time I laughed in this episode was the beginning when Angela is back in the office. I cracked up so hard the whole scene. I really have loved the two of them being pregnant/delivering their babies around the same time.
I loved the opening scene with Angela and Pam!
Kathy has a thing for Jim, but he seems unaware/uninterested of it. I think they are going to go further into this while the group is in FL to make things interesting, but I really don't think Jim would cheat on Pam. I think he'll realize that Kathy does like him and then he'll be even more ready to get home to Pam. At least that what I hope for

I don't think Jim would cheat on Pam and they just need to make their love story more interesting. Quite frankly, I'm tired of Pam she's always whining and acts really snotty to everyone.
I want more Kelly, Creed and Stanley!

I loved when Jim got the text that said LOL, so Erin started laughing out loud to show them what it meant. Ha!
I'm creeped out by the Kathy thing.
I'm also sad that Erin may be leaving the show to live in Florida. Anyone else have thoughts on her saying that?
There have been a few things Kathy had said that made it seem like she had interest in him (like at the pool party), but I agree that Jim hasn't shown any kind of interest in her beyond normal workplace friendliness. I think they are trying to create a funny awkward situation.
I was seriously ready to give up on this show, and it still isn't great, but I am enjoying the Dwight and Angela baby story, so I am excited to see how that pans out.
I know that when Kathy first got there, Pam had made a bunch of comments to Jim about how pretty Kathy was and it was ok to think that Kathy was pretty. I think the episode ended where he admitted she was pretty to the cameras, but said he would never say that to hurt his wife. I thought it was really sweet. He is really in love with her, and I don't think he'll go for Kathy even if she makes the moves on him. I was kinda surprised that the latest episode ended like that though.
I do want to see more about this Angela and Dwight baby! I was laughing so hard when Angela came in all skinny handing out treats! haha
I hope Erin doesn't stay in Florida. Maybe Andy will catch wind and go down to proclaim his love, and leave Jessica.
