Vent: trip to NYC
H has to go to NYC for work in a few weeks. I was going to take some time off in between jobs to go with him, since I found cheap tickets. His company policy allows spouses to travel, but we'd have to pay my ticket and food (obviously.)
Anyway, I was talking to him today and telling him that I was going to book my ticket. Now he doesn't think it's going to be a good idea, blah, blah, they're going to be super busy. Uhhhh.... I have friends out there that I'd like to see, dude. He put up such a stink that it's not even worth it to go now.
I guess I wont really take time off between jobs now. Boo.

Agreed. I'd use any excuse to go to New York again. Might as well go set yourself up in a cushy little SoHo boutique and go shopping and eat Shake Shack and good food.
I say take the time off anyway, but stay home and pamper yourself. Have a spa day, get your hair done... Or do what Jenn suggested.

He's convinced I'm about to get sick since I've been doing so much travel lately. Meh.
I think I'll just take some time off and stay home. It's been a while since I've done nothing at home.
