For the people traveling with infants/toddlers.

I saw this Kidco PeaPod while browsing though blogs and thought I would share it with you guys since there seems to be a lot of you planning to travel with little ones soon. I think it would also be great for the beach. It has 151 five star reviews on Amazon and is about $75.

  • This is a neat concept. I might actually look into this as we are going to be making a few trips and this looks easy to pack.

I don't think I'd use this on an infant, esp with a mattress. IMO there are suffocation worries on an inflatable mattress. Infant mattresses need to be hard. God forbid something pokes a hole in that thing and it has a slow leak.

I was checking this out on Amazon and saw they also sell a smaller, mattress-free version for $40 for children up to age 3. Very cool.  I will have to keep these gadgets in mind.

we have one. and seriously i would never use it for a teeny tiny newborn

  • NQ- thanks for the thought! although i don't think my kids would stay in this, T2 or T3. I think if anything, only an infant that doesnt roll, but then theres the suffocation thing that would freak me out.

However, I have something similar for the beach (without a mattress) and it was perfect for my infants on the beach but only till about 4-5 months old. It was from ten years ago when I had T1 and I haven't seen anything like it since, so many people inquired about it and I couldn't help them because FP no longer makes it.  So any of you beach going spring moms-to-be,  the mattress less option of this tent would be great for the beach, I used it for all three of my babies
