Some random "would you date" questions
Would you date a (assuming you liked his other qualities, basically are these a deal breaker). Each of these are independent of each other-
- 7 ft tall man
- a truck driver (local, not long haul)
- guy that was 15 years younger (assuming legal based on your age)
- bad speler, excessive users of !!!!!!!s or LOLs
Re: Some random "would you date" questions
The first two I could go for. The last two not so much. There is a major difference in maturity and I've tried not limiting younger guys but in the end they just cannot handle my lifestyle right now.
The way I fee about the spelling is if I can further my education while raising a child then the least they could do is at least work on their basic education.
Fun poll!
- 7 ft tall man Yes
- a truck driver (local, not long haul) Maybe
- guy that was 15 years younger (assuming legal based on your age) No
- bad speler, excessive users of !!!!!!!s or LOLs No
- 7 ft tall man Yes
- a truck driver (local, not long haul) It's a steady job...why not?
- guy that was 15 years younger (assuming legal based on your age) Not legal for me, and even if it was, probably not. I think the maturity just wouldn't be where I need it to be.
- bad speller, excessive users of !!!!!!!s or LOLs This is a deal-breaker for me. I'm a writer. Grammar and spelling are extremely important to me. I judge poorly written text messages.
- 7 ft tall man - yes, my BF is 6'5" so it wouldn't be a huge difference to me, and I'm almost 6' in heels so I like tall
- a truck driver - probably yes, as long as he enjoyed what he did for work and could support himself
- guy that was 15 years younger - that would be a 21 yr old for me, I think there would be a huge gap in maturity/experience there so no.
- bad speler, excessive users of !!!!!!!s or LOLs - NO NO and a thousand times NO. I've tried to make exceptions to this before and found that usually the offender wasn't very smart in person either.
- 7 ft tall man Yes
- a truck driver (local, not long haul) Yes
- guy that was 15 years younger (assuming legal based on your age) Yes, as I am 45 that would make him 30. As you get older I think the age gap is less noticeable.
- bad speler, excessive users of !!!!!!!s or LOLs This one I am unsure about. It would really bother me. He would need lots of other redeeming qualities to make up for this.
Haha, Calle, I feel your pain. I just divorced someone who couldnt grasp the difference between "loose" and "lose".
- 7 ft tall man: yes
- a truck driver (local, not long haul) : don't know. He would need to be someone with a lot of motivation.
- guy that was 15 years younger (assuming legal based on your age): as a FWB yes, date no. Guys are immature. ETA: right now the guy would be 14 but let's assume I am 35-40 here lol.
- bad speler, excessive users of !!!!!!!s or LOLs. No because it would annoy me.
- 7 ft tall man Yes
- a truck driver (local, not long haul) Probably not, but maybe if I really like him
- guy that was 15 years younger (assuming legal based on your age) No
- bad speler, excessive users of !!!!!!!s or LOLs Depends. My current SO is a terrible speller and is terrible at grammar too, but that's because English is not his first (or second) language. I assume, although I don't know for sure, that he is a much better speller in his 1st and 2nd languages. So, if someone was obviously smart, and for one reason or another was a bad speller, I'd still date them. I couldn't deal with excessive !!!! or LOL's.
Perhaps I am a snob, but I wouldn't date any of those people for the following reasons:
- 7ft tall man: I'm 5 feet tall ... I'd have trouble hugging a 7 foot tall person
- a truck driver: I work a pretty standard 9-5 professional job. I couldn't date someone who had a schedule that was not similar, simply because I get such little free time out of work hours between my ds and school that I want to know my SO has similar time off on a regular basis
- a guy that was 15 years younger: No. He'd be 22. That's just gross to me and we would be at such different life stages. My ex-h acted like a 22 year old and I hated it.
- bad speller, etc: that would just annoy me
- 7 ft tall man- no, and I am 5'9"
- a truck driver (local, not long haul)- no
- guy that was 15 years younger (assuming legal based on your age)- yes, have done that (well, he was 13 years younger)
- bad speler, excessive users of !!!!!!!s or LOLs- no to bad speller, but the !!!! or LOL's wouldn't bother me
Would you date a (assuming you liked his other qualities, basically are these a deal breaker). Each of these are independent of each other-
- 7 ft tall man yes I like tall guys
- a truck driver (local, not long haul) I wouldn't not date someone just because this was their profession. It would depend on them as a person as a whole. I think its pretentious for people to assume truck driver = uneducated.
- guy that was 15 years younger (assuming legal based on your age) fvckk no. I have only ever dated older guys and I like older men. Younger is too immature for me.
- bad speler, excessive users of !!!!!!!s or LOLs Not anymore I wouldn't no. MH is a horrible speller and it drives me nuts. I am a grammar and spelling freak and I judge people who are not good at those basic reading/writing skills. People who say LOL too much think they are a lot funnier than they are. !!!!!! is obnoxious and too energetic for me.
