Weekly Check-in

I'm posting tonight cause my Mondays are busy and can't get on a computer until the afternoon.

How did everyone do this week? Lets do a question of the week. What are your long term fitness goals?

Re: Weekly Check-in

  • My parents weren't home yesterday, so I didn't get to use their scale, so I don't know if I lost any weight. I had a maaaaajor cheat day on Friday. I signed up for that climb (wee!) and bought a pair of Vibrams yesterday. I did 15 minutes on the treadmill with the Vibrams and my calves are sooo sore.

My long term fitness goals would be

    1. keep running once I get pregnant as close to full-term as I can.

    2. Run the Disney Wine and Dine half marathon with my dad October 2013

    3. Someday, run a full marathon

  • It would figure that the first week I'm hitting 20mpw again I drop like 3 lbs :p

    Long term fitness goals:

    1. Run injury-free for as long as my body allows me

    2. Run a sub-2:00 half marathon

    3. Run a full marathon

  • I lost 1lb this week. I made all of my workout goals. I worked out 6 times running 4x lifting 2x. I beat my 5k goal time crossing the finish line at 35:35.

Eating wise I had a cheat day. I had a friday night girls night we drank too much wine and made brownies. It was great and needed, but now I need to get back on track.

    Long term fitness goals.

    1. Run a 33 minute 5k my the end of the summer. And a 10k this fall.

    2.Run a half a marathon.

    3. Reach my ideal BMI.

    4. Climb Mt. Hood

  • WOW - you girls are all runners!! Well done! My long term goal may be to actually run around my block without dying! lol

This week turned out to be great! I lost 3.6 lbs to hit 20lbs GONE!! I was so pumped! I didn't get to do as many workouts as I had hoped, but I tried to fit in 'activity bursts' when I could - like using my hand weights and doing some strength training whilst cooking dinner!

    Long term health/fitness goals:

    1. Meet my goal weight and maintain it - for good!

    2. Make this a lifestyle rather than the yo-yo diet rollercoaster that it seems to have been my life thus far.

    3. I would like to really dedicate myself to my yoga and meditation practice, making it a daily part of my life.

Since I am not a runner, and as of right now have no interest in becoming one, I don't have any long term 'climb this, run that' goals unfortunately.  I think it's wonderful that you ladies have something that you feel so passionately about...I wish that I could find a sport/activity that I could feel that way about and then set goals accordingly.

Way to go girl! I'm so jealous, you've lost so quickly, it took me forever to get to 20 lbs lost and I feel like I have to starve myself just to lose 1 pound a week anymore.

  • Thanks lexi! I have been suprised with me drops as well...I am eating well and working hard, but that's just nuts! But of course, I will take it! Stick out tongue

This past week has been difficult...I haven't really worked out that much and all I want to do is sleep...I hate when new semesters start and suck all my energy...arg! Hopefully once I get back into the grove of doing 3 preps, then I will feel like working out every day again...
