WeWa/Healthy People check in
Like Lisa and her Vday post, I'm mostly posting to AW. I lost 3.5 pounds this week!! I'm now halfway to my goal weight.
Food report -- the only new ressypee I've tried lately is for the Buffalo Chicken Enchiladas, and they are delightful. I'm making them again this week.
Exercise report -- I had a really good run on Saturday (normally I run on Friday, but we were busy getting the basement prepped for reno). My usual pace is just about 12 minutes (I know you're all amazed at my super speed...try not to be jealous), but for some crazy reason my pace was 11:18. I feel like RunKeeper must be effing with me.

Re: WeWa/Healthy People check in
I've actually gained a pound, and I'm having to remind myself that it's muscle since my clothes are definitely starting to feel looser. It's still sucky to watch that number go up.
I skipped my run yesterday because it was in the 30s, and homey don't play dat.
I will check in.
Weight report - Since Jan 1 I have lost 12.1 pounds. I am down 21 from Feb of 2011. I am 41 pounds from my ideally perfect goal weight. But 30 pounds from a weight that would still make me deliriously happy.
Exercise report - Sunday I ran C25K W5D1. Cali beat me by a lot. I was running between a 12.5 and 13.5 minute mile. I am going to do that run again tomorrow and try to be a little faster. I also bought a rebounder trampoline and am having a ton of fun jumping up and down on it. But my back hurts now and I don't know if my back just hurts or if the trampoline is to blame.

Greek yogurt IS the bomb.
Also, I've been doing kettlebell workouts. Holy hell. My legs...they ache.

12 pounds? Dayum Mod, you're doing so well! I am mucho impressed.
I'm running into some issues with heel pain on my right foot. I will die if my foot AIDS comes back.
Also, I'm hoping to give this ressypee a try next week: http://www.laaloosh.com/2012/01/12/orange-chipotle-glazed-chicken-recipe/

Congrats to all the losers. I am very envious.
I have been traveling a lot for work and have been giving 8 hour long trainings (wherein I'm standing the entire time), so it is really hard to eat as well as I should. I always feel like I am starving during the trainings, so during my 30 seconds of free time, I usually shovel down a half sandwich or a scone or whatever is available. And then the other night I had to drive from Bakersfield to Fresno and couldn't stomach the thought of eating ANOTHER sandwich so I had fries and a Mc Flurry for dinner. Road food is not good for you.
On a higher note, I am trying to exercise as much as I can until February 20th, after which I can only walk because that's what the IVF nurse told me (probably for another month, assuming I get pregnant). I don't understand it at all but I don't have it in me to break the rules.
In more good news, all the estrogen has plumped my boobs back up. They look divine, though I'd rather be skinny with deflated boobs.
So, yeah, I'm not weighing myself. I will have little control over my weight other than eating better and making myself walk (which I find truly boring). I still think I will count points because I don't trust myself not to.
11/11/11 = 5 years. Woah!
I have yet to weigh myself since starting on the bandwagon again. I was down below 200 last spring and I was so happy, since I hadn't been that low since before Will, but then I just stopped when George got sick and gave into stress eating and I haven't been back down there since, and I've been dreading getting back on the scale to see how bad it got.
However, my clothes are fitting me better and there is less lovehandle action going on. I took my measurements this morning so I can track those, and I'll hope on the scale tomorrow morning. It's time to see what I actually weigh.
Anyway, exercising is going well. I didn't run this weekend, but I took a long walk to the mall by my lonesome and bought some bras. That was nice.

I'm down 2 lbs since the 6th of Feb. It's not much, but baby steps. I've been using MyFitnessPal to track, and it's really helping.
My exercise is going great - I'm obsessed with the boxing/kickboxing gym I joined. I am super sad today because my ride is out sick and thus I was stuck just walking w/a co-worker instead of being able to punch the bag.
Noisy, we should go for a run or some other exercise-y type thing sometime. MFP tells me that one loses more weight when it's done with others.
I've never been part of the check-ins before BUT I lost another lb! I have a half lb more to go and then I'm on the high end of my 3 lb ideal range. Whoop! I haven't seen this number on the scale since before Pike's Peak summer of 2006.
I am just about ready to break up with my Gobble Green meal delivery, though. Enough already, I can DO this.
I am the world's slowest, slowest runner right now, so I will probably pass on torturing you with that right now, but I might be up for something else. I've been meaning to ask you about your boxing, but it sounds like you're loving it. I have a kickboxing DVD that I like doing at home, but it's more aerobic than actually fighty fighty kickboxing. I used to take and enjoy Kung Fu though, so I've been thinking that I'd probably really like an actual kickboxing or boxing class.
Oh, I'm a super slow runner too, but I'd be up for some sort of something else. Even "hiking" in Torrey Pines or something.
Boxing - I take the cardio style classes, but all of the instructors are some level of pro in either boxing or kick boxing. The gym owner is a three time world Muay Thai champion. Anyway, the classes are awesome because you hit a bag but also because they make you do all this other stuff that basically makes me feel like I might die (burpees, running around the building, jump squats/lunges, etc. etc.) so you're not just punching the whole time. I'm kind of sickly obsessed. If you ever want to come, the gym is in Kearny Mesa (by the big Bridgepoint building if you know where that is) and the first class is free. They have them at all different times of day/evening (not past 7:30p though). Plus, they're really super friendly and nice. Like they actually know people's names and stuff because the gym is new and still pretty small.
Okay, that was kind of a lot of words about a gym.
I'll definitely keep that in mind, that's not too far from me. Maybe once we have a better idea of what Lorne's schedule will look like for the rest of the quarter I'll come try it out. I got weirdly obsessed with Kung Fu, so I think I get it. My friend and I were taking it together and we also worked together, so sometimes we would go into a meeting room and practice together on breaks.
I'd definitely be up for hiking at Torrey Pines sometime, I love it there.
I've been doing some activity that gets my blood going every day this last week, even if it was just chasing Dimi around the living room for 15 minutes or running the stairs. I've decided that shoveling mulch counts as strength training, and I've been weight-lifting Dimi and Sean.
No booze week two! It's really cut down the boozy late snacking too. Although it's hard when Mr M comes over with a plate of cheese. There are no veggies in cheese.
I know these are things that probably most normal people manage, but whatever, it's progress for me.
"The meek shall inherit the earth" isn't about children. It's about deer. We're all going to get messed the fuckup by a bunch of cloned super-deer.- samfish2bcrab
Sometimes I wonder if scientists have never seen a sci-fi movie before. "Oh yes, let's create a super species of deer. NOTHING COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG." I wonder if State Farm offers a Zombie Deer Attack policy. -CaliopeSpidrman
The Buffalo Chicken Enchiladas are freaking AMAZING. And definitely filling. We used regular blue cheese.
I have to go buy a new scale. I have an analog scale and it SUCKS. I'm constantly having to reset it to zero, so I think I *might* be down 1 lb this week? Which would make 8lbs total in 3 weeks. My goal is 58 total.

Fanks! I was going to keep it a secret from you all and show up at the next GTG 60lbs lighter, but you know how I am with secrets...lol.

I had similar delusions when I started. "I'll just keep quiet about my weight loss and then surprise everybody when they see my new secksy boday!" But I'm a shameless braggart, so now I have to announce SIZE 10 y'all. Size.motherfvcking.10. BOOYA.

sIZE 10! Well done, Cali!
I got back on the wewa last week adn lost 1.5 lbs. I only went for a couple of walks, no real workouts so i'm quite pleased by that. I also feel like I'm back in the groove of eating healthy, I think I only ate out once last week. Not sure if i mentioned it here but i found a picture of myself from about a year before Andy and I started dating and put it on the fridge. my daughter doesn't even recognize me from it, mind you I'm platinum blonde in that picture adn 3 year olds don't really look at the details.
I am now starting to squeeze myself into some pre-pregnancy jclothes which is good because i was starting to look like a hobo
