Because I need to brag, y'all.
1. What are your February goals and how are you doing on those?
2. Did you stick to your plan last week?
3. Any big successes / challenges lately?
4. What's your plan for this week?
Re: H&F check in
2. Did you stick to your plan last week? Yes.
3. Any big successes / challenges lately? Success: I've been trying to eat more veggies/tofu/salads, and eat smaller portions. I've lost 8lbs in 3 weeks doing that alone, so I think it's going pretty well. Challenge: I worked about 60 hours last week. That's not the norm for my job, but it's made it REALLY tough to do any sort of workout, or read, or clean my house, or do anything else in my life I need to be doing.
4. What's your plan for this week? Start jogging when it gets back up to the upper 40s/50. That, and keep eating well.
1. What are your February goals and how are you doing on those?
Mine were to finish stage 1 of NROLFW and start stage 2, as well as run a few Good races. So far so good.
2. Did you stick to your plan last week?
Mostly. I intended to do RUNderground with okla, but I waited too late to register.
3. Any big successes / challenges lately?
I finished stage 1 of NROLFW and this is where I have to brag. I took measurements halfway through and I really wish I'd done them at the beginning. I lost a total of 4 inches since the midway pt (jan 22nd!). I couldn't believe that. Unfortunately 1.5" was from my bust. Boo. I'll just assume it was backfat gone. That's it, I'm sure.
. I also increased weights at least 1.7x the starting point on every exercise (up to 2.5x on some)!
4. What's your plan for this week?
Taking a week off from lifting between stages and I'm traveling for work, so running will be difficult, but I'll try to get in one 3 mile or so run during the week. I'm doing a 10k on Saturday.
Im all for working out and getting stronger, but twice a day is not a good idea.your muscles need time to heal.
1. What are your February goals and how are you doing on those? I didn't really set any February goals, just to keep eating paleo and go to crossfit 3x/week.
2. Did you stick to your plan last week? Uh, no. We were really strict with our diet until yesterday when we went out for Valentine's day. I'm not worried about it though, we're back to eating good today.
3. Any big successes / challenges lately? I'm actually irritated. I have lost 15 pounds since the beginning of January, and I really can't tell. My clothes don't fit differently, no one is saying "Wow! You've lost weight!" and I really don't FEEL like I have lost any weight. I still have a stupid baby pooch and it's ticking me off. Apparently it's not going away as easily after having the second kid as it did after having the first.
4. What's your plan for this week? strict whole30 all week (all month actually) and CrossFit at least 3 times a week (I typically don't have a problem getting to crossfit).
1. What are your February goals and how are you doing on those?
Keep up with running, strength training, better eating, and run a couple races.
2. Did you stick to your plan last week?
Nope. I did my leg workout Monday. It made me sore until Friday, so I skipped the gym all the other days. I'm not good at working out when I'm sore.
3. Any big successes / challenges lately?
Challenges: I'm having a hard time finding motivation to run since my half marathon ended. I think I need to start a training plan for the OKC Memorial half marathon to keep me on track.
4. What's your plan for this week?
M: Not sure if I'll make it to the gym, I have a stupid migraine. T: Back/Biceps/Run. W: Chest/Triceps/Shoulders. Th: Run. F: Rest. Sa: I was thinking about doing the 10k Wendy's doing, the weather looks like it'll be pretty nice. Su: Rest.

I don't see a problem with going to the gym twice a day if you do something like cardio in the morning and strength related workouts in the evening (or vice versa).

Instead of answering the questions (because I forgot to quote to get them):
I didn't go to to the gym at all. I did finish the Runderground in about 38 minutes. It's a 5K through the tunnels and buildings and skywalks in downtown OKC. It involves going up and down a bunch of escalators (turned off), so I'm happy with the time.
I ate pretty well this week. Except for the burger, fries, bloody mary and 10 (12?) beers after the Runderground.
1. What are your February goals and how are you doing on those? start stage 6 of NROLFW- did workout 3 of 10 today; keep swimming- swam 1x/week so far this month; let the tendonitis in my arm heal- not going so well since I keep using it instead of resting it
2. Did you stick to your plan last week? yes. I look at my work/activity schedule for the week and plan accordingly, so it's not overly ambitious and I'm more likely to succeed.
3. Any big successes / challenges lately? I just did 2 full chin-ups at the gym tonight!
I needed a 60 sec break in between, but at this rate I'm going to need to revise my goal of 5 consecutive chin-ups by the end of the year to be higher.

<- Can you tell I'm excited?!?
4. What's your plan for this week? my "regular": lift today and Thurs, swim Sunday, exercise class Sat. Bonus workout if I'm feeling extra ambitious: swim Friday (but doesn't count towards my plan if I miss it!).
That is so awesome! I cannot wait until I get to chin-up land
Thanks! You've made some impressive gains yourself, so you should be there in no-time!
