I can't wait to get the awning down, but DH is worried about the siding underneath so it's staying for now. Ick.

And for Rock, here is my craft room right now:

On this side, I need to figure out yard storage, and I'm going to set up a gift wrap area (I love wrapping and have TONS of wrapping stuff):

Re: Landscaping B&A pics

  • Oh look, there's a house back there! Big Smile

For real, that looks so much better.  Do you have plans to put in anything new in this spring?

Your house is really cute.  I love the craft room.  It looks so bright.  You could put some great built-ins in there, too.

  • I know, right? When we first got them out, we walked across the street to look at the house and we couldn't believe how different it looked.

We are definitely going to landscape in the spring. Right now there is some bare shrubbery that we left until we see what it looks like in bloom in case we want to leave it or transplant it.

The craft room is on the 3rd floor so it has the slanted ceilings (we have three 2nd floor and two 3rd floor bedrooms) and both would look amazing with built-ins. Some day!

The 2nd floor bedrooms look totally different because they have the high ceilings. This is our guest room right now:

  • Ooo, I love how bright and sunny the craft room is!  I would totally put bookshelves or some other storage under those eves.  And you could get one of those big counter-height tables for the middle of the room and use it for wrapping, cutting fabric (I can't remember, do you sew or only knit?), etc.  For knitting, I'd get a comfy chair and ottoman, and a TV to veg in front of while I'm doing it.

Like how I have your space all planned out for you already? Big Smile

And I can't believe your DH got those plants down so quickly!  Can't wait to see what you do in the spring.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • The front of your house looks so much bigger without the massive shrubs there!

The guest room is very pretty. I really like the bedding. And I love your craft room!

  • You're a rock star. I can't believe how much you've gotten done in the craft room since Wednesday!

Yup, I sew. That's why I have the sewing machine and all of the fabric haha Big Smile

I definitely want a TV and chair up there eventually. I  think for now I'm going to put the glider we had in DS's room when he was little up there.

DH has a drafting table with the adjustable height and tilt that he's going to put in there for my fabric and gift wrapping!

No way, I feel like I've been slacking! I have shelving for the yarn but I need bins and I wish I had gotten the shelving at least up there already. But I did also do some re-arranging in our bedroom and living room, so I've accomplished a little bit in the last week.

The real feat was the 8 days before you came over- the house went from empty to what you saw. And my H was in CA for half of it! I'm a pretty efficient unpacker- it comes from my years in retail.

LOL, I must be comatose then! All the landscaping, and stuff in the house as well? I managed to hang 3 pictures tonight. Big whoop...
