Re: Happy Valentines Day!

  • Apparently we had the same idea LOL

  • We have tickets to a basketball game and we're planning to go to a sports bar beforehand to grab dinner. I was really looking forward to it, but they're speculating the arena is going to be the site of Whitney Houston's funeral - which probably means it'll be a media zoo. I'm hoping it doesn't make traffic too bad!
  • Happy Valentine's Day! We just made our FB announcement about Baby. We're not doing anything tonight, we went out to a nice brunch on Saturday as our VDay celebration. I'm just making a nice dinner and I baked some Oreo brownies yesterday that we'll have for dessert. Tony got me yellow and pink tulips and some chocolate though, I didn't get him anything, I may run to the store later and pick up something small, like his favorite candy or something.

  • We're not doing anything special tonight..We'll go out to dinner another night that isn't crazy out!

  • Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

I doubt we'll do anything special Sad With everything that's been going on and as crappy as it's been for me that isn't exactly what I want. From what H said though I have a feeling that if I get flowers it won't be until this weekend.

  • Celebrating the first day of our sitter! We have our typical date night sitter 2 days a week from 9-3 who will be watching Anders, and Berrit off and on, so I can get things done and get out of the house sans kiddos occasionally.

S and I will do dinner Friday, he's working 14 hour days this week because he was out on fmla when I was really sick.

  • Happy Valentine's Day!

We both have the day off so we were able to sleep in and A made me breakfast in bed! Last night we went and saw The Vow. Today we are going out to dinner and exchanging our gifts!

  • Rusty and I both forgot it was valentine's day.  I didn't remember until I got to work.

I put a roast in the crockpot this morning and we are having bbq beef sandwiches.  I love this meal because it takes me all of 10 minutes from start to finish.

I might stop by Cold Stone Creamery on the way home and pick him up an ice cream cake because I have gift cards.  Not sure though.

  • Happy Valentines Day!

I am in class until 6:45 tonight and won't get home until almost 7:30 so we aren't doing anything tonight. Steve gave me my gifts last weekend (my iPad and some beautiful roses) and I am giving him his gifts this weekend (a special favor and then making monkey bread for breakfast in bed).

One of my professors gave us an hour off class and some cookies this afternoon though which made me happy. I have been in the library working on a project that I thought I would need to use my whole weekend to do. Yay for extra time!

  • Dan is out of town for work so it's just me and the little man. We had a play date with one of my friends and her 2 sons. We had a heart shaped pizza from papa murphy's and then decorated cookies and ate them. It was a lot of fun.  Eli hasn't even thrown a tantrum today and took an awesome nap. I think that was his Valentine's Day present from him. I think dan sent me flowers but i am not positive. he kept asking me if i went to visit my mom at work today or not. when i asked why he just says no reason. We are seeing my parents tonight so i guess we will see then.

Are you going to the Seton Hall game?  We were at the one on Sunday!  Have fun and Go Pirates!!!

  • We had a fairly lazy day today with a nice long walk this morning and an afternoon by and in the pool. Brice's parents are BBQing steaks for supper tonight and they bought us girls a bunch of chocolates. Brice and I don't really celebrate valentines day.

  • DH and I exchanged cards and will probably go out this weekend.

However, being a Kindergarten teacher Valentine's is one of the best days of the whole year! We exchanged cards and I got so much chocolate from my kids it is obscene. We made a Friendship Fruit Salad which was delcious and an awesome lesson (we don't want any rotten bananas in our fruit salad or our class -- don't be a rotten banana!).

DH just got home from a swim meet and is going to get take out. Hopefully this kid goes to bed soon!

  • Since its Edgar's bday, valentines day for us is always just a card exchange. I like it that way. I don't want to take away from his birthday. Lucas and I gave him his cards this morning before he left for work and I finally have the spaghetti bread in the oven for his dinner. Ive been meaning to try it out for weeks but never got around to it. We were going to go to a basketball game tonight but we probably wont make it after all. Oh well, I don't mind lounging on the couch. :)

  • So we don't normally do anything big, maybe cards, maybe candy, maybe dinner, but we had no plans. DH came off shift this morning and neither of us had anything for each other. No biggie. DH asked me this morning if I would like flowers delivered at work, and I said yes. Obviously. I suggested and we went out to lunch (not typical for us on a work day). Then late in the afternoon he told me he didn't have time for the flowers... Okay, I'm bummed (how long does it freaking take to call the florist?), but whatever. Now I've been home for half an hour, and he hasn't even stopped playing his video game. Oh, but he did get on my case because I hadn't looked for the title to his f'ing scooter yet. You know, since I was HOME SICK from work yesterday (it takes a lot for me to to stay home sick. My boss had to send me home, I didn't go by choice) and just had tons of time *eyeroll*. And don't get me started on the fact that I've now been accused of nagging about scholarship applications that are due, wait for it... tomorrow. And haven't been started.

I could literally go stay in a hotel. I'm fuming mad.

  • Happy Valentines Day!

Lance and I took Wyatt out yesterday for an early family valentines. I figured it was more polite to take our loud, rambunctious toddler out when the place wasn't packed. Tonight we're just hanging around the house, and I couldn't be happier with that decision.

We did! It was quite empty but a fun crowd. They put in the kids that never play for the last 4 minutes because they were up by so much and everyone was cheering like crazy!

Hugs. He deserves to be drop-kicked for that.
