Happy Tuesday and Happy Valentine's!
I made these to bring in today and omg are they ever good. I'm a sucker for salty/sweet combos, so they're right up my alley.
Last night I got the exercise bike set up and took it for a 20 minute spin. I need to figure out the most comfortable set up for my belly, but it went pretty well!
Tonight we're making lasagna and maybe spending a very romantic evening at Home Depot.
How is everyone today? Anyone been spoiled yet?

We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?

Re: Happy Valentine's Day!
Raynes - those look delish!!!!
I have not, and am not planning on being spoiled. DH was going to get me a Pandora bracelet (he wanted me to pick it out this weekend), but as much as I would have loved it, I told him to not spend the money. So I am sure I will get a big hug & kiss tonight when I see him in passing when he leaves for work.
Lastnight, Christian's temp spiked again, so no daycare for him today. I had a meltdown dropping Zach off (full fledge tears the minute I walked in), since today is the first time that they will be seperated all day. (Zach at Daycare and Christian home with my mom) I don't know what got over me, but I am just worried they will be looking for each other all day. Ok, I need to stop talking about it because I feel the tears coming again. I know crazy lady here.
Tonight I plan on snuggling up my boys, and giving them a treat for Valentine's day. I am thinking a small piece of cake or brownie.
Have a great day ladies.
We don't really do anything big for Valentine's Day. I have to work 12-8 and then I'm on call. I'm just getting ready to get on the treadmill.
Otherwise, not much going on here. DH leaves after work tomorrow for some work stuff out of town so I won't see him after tonight until after work on Sunday. I do enjoy my alone time (and the bed to myself) but miss him when he's away.
No spoiling over here--we call a truce every year.
But we are celebrating the one-year anniversary of our book review website. Yay!
Good morning. Last night was fine--we did laundry, Josh's cousin called to say hi, and we ended up discussing some issues we've been having with the review website. Nothing big, just more editing work for the team I'm on. We'll live! I also watched the mid-season premiere of The Walking Dead and I'm still not impressed. I hold out little hope for buying season three.
Today should be quiet at work--no meetings, and I should be doing what I'm supposed to be doing all day. :P~ Tonight we plan on going to the gym and having tacos for dinner.
Hope everyone has a great day!
No spoiling here either, and I don't expect it. We went out to a nice Italian dinner last night, and then we'll be cooking veal scallopini together tonight.
We'll also be checking out a new apartment after work. There's an opening for a different flat in our building, so figured it wouldn't hurt to take a look. That would make the moving process so much easier!
I heard back from my beta draw last night, and the nurse confirmed that I am, in fact, pregnant
. I'll go back tomorrow for another test, and just hoping they double.
Cecilia arrived 12 October 2012
Sushi - congrats! That's wonderful news. Go betas go!
Kats - ((hugs)) I can imagine that it would be very difficult separating the boys for the first time.
No big plans here. We're celebrating by having a plumber come out and hopefully he'll fix our kitchen sink/toilet mess
. I honestly have no idea what we'll even eat for dinner tonight because the past few days have been crazy.
Last night I was putting away groceries when I got home from work. I pulled out one of the drawers in our pantry and the whole drawer came crashing down on me. The worst part was that I had a large bottle (close to a gallon I would guess) of unopened oil stored there. The plastic top broke when it came crashing to the floor and before I realized what was going on about half of the bottle was all over my floor and all of the other pantry items that had landed on the floor. Ugh. I spent about an hour cleaning up the oil mess. The food that was on that shelf is now sitting on my counter until we can get the shelf re-secured. After that mess I ate comfort food and sat on the couch and watched TV all night.
Have a great day ladies and Happy Valentine's Day!
Good morning! I got home after the gym last night and had flowers, candy, a card and a gift certificate for a pedicure. It was awesome. Tonight we are going out to dinner.
Last night, the cats were much better. There was still much glaring at each other, but minimal growling and hissing. We might make it by the end of the week.
Tomorrow I have an interview at 10:30, so I'm going to spend some time prepping for that.

Abarb - Sounds like you've been having a crappy couple of days! Hope things turn around and everything is easily fixed.
Happy Valentines Day! Today I'm one of the partners and her paralegal are taking me to PF Chang's for lunch, I can't wait. Other than that no big plans for today, probably just regular dinner and a good workout.
We're going to celebrate Valentines Day this weekend with a big home cooked Italian dinner and some chocolate fondue.
sushi - yay!!
kats - that cant' have been easy.
arnie - that sucks!!
reba - yay for kitty tolerance!
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
ranyes- Those look Delicious!
sushi- congrats on the great news!
Last night was pretty lazy for us. I made us chicken fried steak last night so that was yummy. Tonight I am going to make us something a bit lighter.
Normally for Valentine's Day we stay in a avoid the crowds and keep things pretty low key. This year I surprised Nate and picked him up a new Xbox, his has decided to stop working. But the irony behind everything is this morning he tells me that my gift maybe lost in transit. He sent me flowers to the photo studio I work at, but today is the first day we will be closed. They decided last week to have us close on Tuesdays to save on our labor margin . So poor Nate was pretty sad that I may not get them. I feel bad. I am going to call as soon as someone is at the other department to sign for them and call me when they arrive!
I have been secretly wanting this for years and the ONE DAY they close us it happens
Its will all work out though. But does anyone have any good pasta dishes I could try for tonight?
Hope Everyone has a great Valentines Day!
Oh man, sushi, I'm so excited for you!
We're making my favourite clam spaghetti dish tonight, and I gave him a card this morning (I left it for him in the bathroom so it would be one of the first things he saw). He tells me he got all teary eyed. So, go me!

Hi ladies, and happy valentines day. Not too much is going on here. Like most of you, B and I don't exchange gifts, and it should be a pretty low key night for us. We're thinking about ordering in fancy take out, but so far, we've had a difficult time figuring out what to get. Chances are that we will end up cooking something ourselves and just hanging out.
Sushi, so excited for you. GL on the next beta draw.
Katz and Amie, hang in there.
Reba, glad the kitties are adjusting better than when you posted yesterday.
kats- Thinking about you today. I would so do the same thing bust out crying and freak out. I am sure the boys will be fine and It is much harder on the moms than it is the babies to accept a little change in routine. Hope you get lots of snuggle time in with them tonight.
suhi- Congrats!
rebann- glad the cats did better! Good luck at your interview tomorrow!
Last nigt I made treat bags for P's friends at daycare and got some things ready for Jordan's bday party on sunday. I got in a good workout and even talked my sister into working out with me that was fun.
Dh worked last night and has to tonight. I lett him some goodies (his fav junk foods) and a card I made for him on the bar so he found that when he got home this morning. He is cooking dinner nothing special just bbq chicken, but I am glad to not have to cook.
reba - SO glad kitties are getting along better! don't give up on Little Bit just yet... I'm sure he'll convince Rex to love him!
sushi - sending doubling beta vibes your way - so incredibly excited for you!
last night my appetite was being fickle (like usual), so instead of eating tacos like we had planned, I made Sean fry some chicken tenders. so healthy. we watched The Walking Dead from Sunday night and some other stuff on DVR. thankfully, we didn't bother watching the Caps game, in which they were slaughtered.
we don't really do much to celebrate Valentine's day, so we'll probably just lounge around. I have to pick up my contact lenses after work, so I'll be home a little later than normal. it's weird to think that this will possibly be our last kid-free Valentine's day, and that next year, I'll be making a card for DH from little baby Q. SQUEE!

Good morning and Happy Valentine's Day! Last night I came home to orange roses from J and Hayden, it was a nice surprise since we don't usually do too much for Valentine's plus it made me happy after being away from Hayden all day. Yesterday was a little rough. Hayden was a turd face last night, she's NEVER been like that so J and I were stumped on how to help her, a bath seemed to do the trick. I'm glad she slept after that, coming back to work has me extra tired. Especially since I also had school last night.
Tonight we are going to dinner with my sister and her hubby at a local little "dive" place. It's kind of turned into a tradition since they aren't ever super busy. It's one of the best places that gets over looked unless you are from our town and know about it.
I have to aw Hayden's cute Valentine outfit today. Especially since I'm sure I'll be looking at this pic all day missing her!
Good morning, ladies.
{{hugs}} kats. The boys will be fine - they're going to need some time apart as they get older. Hang in there!
I didn't think we were doing Valentine's day, but DH gave me two Ibex shirts and a camisole. Oops; I didn't even get him a card.
Today and tomorrow we all get to interview for our current jobs. The management from the company that bought us is here for a series of 'conversations'. But asking for a resume and cover letter sounds more formal than just a chat. I've had this job for 15 years - how the heck am I supposed to interview for it?
Happy VD everyone!
She's so cute! I love her little outfit and head band!
I can only imagine how hard the first day back to work had to be for you. :::Hugs:::
No celebration in our house either. We might order in Chinese food if I can convince DH, but we'll see. I did get him a card from me with some chocolate, and the same from Jackson. I don't even think he saw it this morning. I threw it on his pillow after he got up, but I don't think he ever went back in our room. Oh well. He got chocolates on his pillow last night, too. That's generally my gift-dropping spot. haha. DH usually pulls through with something, so we'll see.
Anyone watch HIMYM last night? WTF??!!! no spoilers, but seriously. It made me so sad.
Tonight will be Teen Mom finale I believe, and hopefully starting a new book. Hunger Games is loaded and ready. haha. I'm prepared to get sucked in.
Bailey- Thanks dear. Girls are so fun to dress, she even has some Valentine's pjs for tonight. I'll use any excuse to shop for her. Heck, I'll use any excuse to shop period!
Les-Good luck with your "chat" that doesn't sound like fun but I'm sure you will be awesome!
snoopy- J wouldn't let me watch without him but now I'm intrigued! I guess we'll be watching after dinner tonight!
Good morning and happy Valentines day! We don't do a big Valentines day and we don't exchange gifts either. I did make DH a card from an idea I found on Pinterest. I'm not crafty at all so it looks like Olivia made it but it's the thought that counts and I know he'll love it.
Tonight we'll do the usual V day tradition. Order pastrami pizza, pick up Starbucks frapps for dessert and watch a movie. I want to watch Beauty and the Beast but I'm not sure if DH had something else in mind. My first option was Crazy, Stupid, Love but I forget to pick it up over the weekend.
Have a great day ladies!
Sushi- Vibes for good betas and that things continue to go well!
Reba- I'm sure things will get better with the kitties and they will be best friends soon. It just takes a little time!
Kats-Be strong mama! I can't even imagine. I am getting anxious just thinking about having my cats separated during our flight to the states. I know, bad comparison, but I feel for you. I know it's hard but I'm sure they will be okay!
Definitely not getting spoiled today. It is already passed dinner time here and B still isn't home. He has to work late tonight and we woke up with no heat and no hot water so it hasn't been a great day. But, we are headed to Florence, Italy this weekend for a few days so we are pretty excited!
Busy bunch of ladies!
I've kind of been MIA. I spent last week getting stuff done around the house while in between jobs. I've been in AK since Friday. We went to a wedding that turned into a train wreck in Saturday. I'm glad I changed my ticket and stayed longer because I'd be bitter if I flew up here for just that.
I just had valentines day breakfast with DH and now I'm at the airport. Time to head back to the real world, since I start my new job tomorrow morning. DH has to stay here and work the rest of the week.
Now I'm home and pretty sure that the soup I made for dinner is a disaster, so we are probably going to need to do something different for that. Maybe I'll just go to bed.
