Drugs on an Airplane Question- quick help please!!

Maybe I am being paranoid, but I'm trying to think of everything. My dad is flying out to Miami later this morning to meet my mom and grandma and he is bringing my mom a prescription for generic xanax. Do you think he would have any problem carrying a prescription on a plane that's in my mom's name?? God, I hope not. I can just see my dad getting busted for drugs or something. I tried to search for info about this online but couldn't find much about carrying someone else's prescription. Wondering if anyone knows?

  • no one has ever looked at my prescriptions when flying...ever.

  • MH just told me that when he brings his Valium for his plane rides, he always just puts it in plastic bags which obviously have no one's name on them and he's never had any problems. So hopefully I am just being too dramatic :P
  • They don't check stuff like that.  No one would ever get through security.  He'll be fine :)

  • Thanks :) Aw Sara, that's such a cute sig pic :)
  • You could call the airline, but I think he'll be fine.
You went down this past weekend, right? How's everybody doing?

  • If he has the prescription signed by the doctor, he could bring that to be extra safe, but he should be fine.

My visit this past weekend was pretty awful, as expected. My grandma is not doing so great and my mom is completely sick from worrying about her. My mom never sleeps and has lost a ton of weight. I forced her to get the prescription so that she can get some rest, I hope it will help! I was still really glad I went, but it was very stressful. Also, the rehab place grandma was in was pretty terrible and in a horrible, horrible neighborhood, omg. As of today, grandma is back in the hospital because she went downhill, but it's actually better for her to be there than the rehab place. I hope that by the end of this week, they'll know if they can come back to Jax.

You are nice to ask :)
