Re: f/u to the black tie optional sunday afternoon wedding.

  • Personally, I would not feel comfortable wearing black to a wedding on Sunday.  Maybe a long dressy dress with fancier jewelry.

  • Is this an orthodox wedding? Is that why it is on Sunday not Saturday? I'd wear black because I wear black dresses pretty much 24/7.
  • it's not orthodox, but let's call it traditional. also-they're having cocktail hour before the reception-to which i give a hearty thumbs up.

here's the thing. I have a tattoo on my foot. I don't really think it's a big deal (plus I'm a grown a$s woman) but I was going to wear black tights which happens to be my new favorite way to dress formally. Maybe if i can find a gray dress?

When I cover my feet tattoos I use black tights too. I think a bright dress with tights looks cute too. Like a fantastic peacock blue.

  • I think black is almost always acceptable, depending on the style/fanciness of the specific dress.
